BlackSky is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of mission-critical AI solutions within customer environments. This is a hands-on role and an opportunity to develop and shape an exciting new growth area. The ideal candidate for this role blends deep technical ownership (roadmap, R&D, AI/ML systems) with customer-facing solution delivery (scoping, prototype-to-production, and executive communication). This senior individual contributor role will partner with CV, MLOps, Data QA, Solutions, and BD teams to ensure BlackSky delivers reliable and actionable insights. The role will be full-time based out of Herndon, VA working in our SCIF with occasional customer site commitments and will report to the Senior Manager of AI.

Treasury Manager

The Treasury Manager will report to the Corporate Treasurer / VP FP&A and support the treasury management function by providing robust cash management oversight and recommendations to optimize BlackSky’s use and investment of cash. You will be responsible for maintaining adequate cash balances including the forecasting of short-term and long-term cash flows to support BlackSky operations. Additionally, you will be a key partner to several functional Finance teams and serve as a trusted liaison between BlackSky and external banking partners. While the team works remotely, you will ideally live in proximity to Herndon, VA to facilitate occasional in-person team meetings and events.

The anticipated salary range for candidates in Seattle, WA is $100,000-$130,000 per year. The final compensation package offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on specific background and education. BlackSky is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect salary ranges in other states or locations outside of Seattle, WA.

The Staff Specialist within the Portfolio Management Office is the primary steward for BlackSky’s enterprise applications portfolio. This role is responsible for application life cycle management, vendor selection and management, and cost budgeting and management for the enterprise application portfolio. The Staff Specialist works in tight collaboration with IT and Security, the PMO Director, and various functional managers across BlackSky. This role will develop a comprehensive application management system to ensure timely and planful vendor contract development and renewals, new application implementations, application integrations, application consolidations and/or deprecations, application release updates, customizations, and related ongoing operational activities to ensure reliable application adoption and feature exploitation all with an eye toward ensuring that BlackSky is attaining maximum business value and needed scalability from its portfolio of enterprise applications. This is a hybrid role based out of our Herndon, VA corporate headquarters expected to be onsite twice a week and reports to the Director, PMO.

As the Senior Director of Business Development, Unified Combatant Commands (CCMDs) and Service Components, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities within the defense agencies of the US Government as well as communicating and coordinating business opportunities with key stakeholders within the BlackSky organization. The primary emphasis on business development and sales strategy in this position is for USSF, your secondary role will be with other DoD intelligence and operations organizations with a goal of expanding new sales opportunities.
