Why us? 

This is a high-impact, field-facing role where being out in front of prospects matters as much as shaping strategy. As our Field Product Manager for Observability, you’ll work closely with our customers, prospects and partners across the Americas. You’ll own how Observability shows up in the field: in deals, in partner conversations and on stage.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management for Playback and working hand-in-hand with our sellers across the Americas, you will own how Observability shows up with customers and partners, translating its technical depth into clear commercial value.

What You Will Build:

• Lead Market Development: Identify new opportunities & shape go-to-market activity to ensure that Bitmovin’s Observability is the definitive choice for video streaming teams.
• Be The Product Expert In The Field: Take a leading role in pipeline development and work hand-in-hand with our sellers to ensure efficient deal progression. Craft outreach, lead product demos and pre-sale engagements with prospects to ensure the value of our products is clearly understood.
• Expand Addressable Markets: Build OEM relationships with partners & AI services who can embed our Observability product. You’ll lead the product into new markets to enable the world to experience flawless video playback.
• Scale with AI: Actively integrate AI tools into your workflow to move faster. From product positioning to competitive intelligence and GTM automation.
• Influence Product Strategy: Gather market intelligence, competitive insight and customer feedback to influence product strategy and roadmap priorities.
• Be a Visible External Voice: Whether it’s presenting on stage, spearheading thought leadership, or participating in industry panels, you’ll be the voice of the product.
• Enable Others to Build What Matters: Act as the voice of the customer, working alongside the core product and engineering teams based in Europe to ensure your product delivers on its goals.

What can you bring

• Proven Experience: Experienced in a field-facing role such as Field Product Manager, Solutions Product Manager, Technical Product Marketing, General Manager or Sales Engineering.
• Presence In Front of Customers: Comfortable leading product demos, walkthroughs and driving opportunities forward. You’ll need to advance the product into a leading position in new markets.
• Technical Fluency: A background in data, observability, developer tools or media tech. You must be able to convince engineers & data teams with your expertise.
• AI Curiosity: You’re already using AI tools in your daily work and are excited about pushing the boundaries of how these technologies can accelerate product growth.
• Collaborative Spirit: You build bridges across Engineering, Sales, UX Design and Marketing. You’ll participate in some meetings which overlap with European timezones to ensure alignment with Engineering teams.

The Role: Strategy, Narrative, Growth

This is a high-impact leadership role where "doing" is just as important as "directing." As our Director of Product Marketing & Growth Lead, you will operate at two levels: defining the long-term strategic vision and getting your hands dirty in the execution. You are the vital bridge between Product, Marketing, and Sales, ensuring that our technical innovations translate into market-leading narratives and high-performing campaigns.

Reporting to the CPO and working in lockstep with the VP of Marketing, you will own the "truth" of how Bitmovin shows up in the market, transforming complex technical capabilities into compelling growth stories.

What You Will Build:

• Define & Own Strategic Positioning: Lead market sizing, segmentation, and competitive positioning across all product lines. You will ensure Bitmovin isn't just a technical choice, but the definitive category leader in video infrastructure.

• Architect GTM & Campaigns: Own the full go-to-market strategy for product launches. You will develop the briefs, messaging frameworks, and success metrics that empower the broader Marketing team to execute world-class campaigns.

• Drive Analyst Relations: Build and own relationships with key industry firms. You will shape our positioning in analyst reports and ensure Bitmovin remains the "innovation leader" in the eyes of the market’s most influential voices.

• Be a Visible External Voice: Act as a primary spokesperson for Bitmovin. Whether it’s presenting on stage at major conferences, leading media briefings, or participating in industry panels, you will be the face and voice of our market evolution.

• Scale with AI: Actively integrate AI tools into your workflow to move faster—from competitive intelligence and research to rapid content iteration and campaign optimization.

• Enable the Revenue Engine: Partner with Sales and Product leads to create the narrative tools that close deals. You’ll ensure our technical value is translated into clear, differentiated outcomes for buyers and decision-makers.

What can you bring

• Proven Leadership: 8+ years in Product Marketing or Growth roles, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership or lead capacity within the B2B tech space.

• Technical Fluency: A background in developer tools, infrastructure, or media tech. You don’t need to be a developer, but you must be able to earn the respect of engineers and translate "bits and bytes" into "business value."

• A "Builder" Mindset: A track record of doing the work, not just managing it. You are a world-class writer, a sharp messenger, and a hands-on executor of GTM strategies.

• AI Curiosity: You are already using AI tools in your daily work and are excited about pushing the boundaries of how these technologies can accelerate marketing and growth.

• Public Presence: You are comfortable—and thrive—as a public-facing spokesperson, with the ability to distill complex concepts into narratives that resonate with analysts and executives alike.

Your Impact

You will make an impact that matters by:

• Vision and Strategy: Own and develop the product vision and strategy for the Live Encoding product, ensuring alignment with company goals, market trends, and customer feedback.
• Customer Engagement: Directly interact with customers and sales opportunities to deeply understand their needs, pain points, and use cases. Own the technical validation and integration process to ensure successful adoption of our product.
• Requirements Gathering and Prioritization: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize product requirements, translating them into actionable roadmaps.
• Product Development and Launch: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from requirement specification and design to technical implementation, launch, and go-to-market activities.

• Extensive product management experience in product management, ideally in the streaming media industry, with a focus on SaaS products and customer-facing responsibilities.
• Solid technical understanding of product architecture, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams, and the ability to guide customers through technical integrations.
• Proven ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to think strategically and translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
• Experience working with OKRs and KPIs to drive product success.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Desirable:

• Experience in the online video streaming industry.
• Understanding of H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC and AV1 codecs, and ability to speak to the trade-offs between bitrate, quality, and latency.
• Mastery of OTT distribution formats such as MPEG DASH and HLS.
• Familiarity with contribution protocols like RTP, SRT, RTMP and Zixi.
• Proficiency in SCTE-35 and other industry standards used to enable server-side (SSAI) or server-guided (SGAI) dynamic ad insertion.
• Experience building or managing cloud-based video services.
