Job Responsibilities
- Manage transportation projects and oversee a design team in the development and delivery of plans, specifications, and estimates for FDOT and other clients
- Manage project budgets and schedules to meet or exceed client expectations
- Assist with business development efforts for new and existing clients such as FDOT and local agencies
- Prepare or oversee preparation of all design documentation, reports, and calculations
- Work with a team of engineers, designers, and technicians to efficiently deliver projects
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Registered PE in FL, or ability to obtain FL licensure within 60 days is a plus
- 8+ years of experience working with Transportation projects
- Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer and other design software is a plus
- Light to moderate travel - occasionally required to gather field data offsite
- Ability to work in various weather conditions may be required
- Ability to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed as the project schedule demands

Job Responsibilities
- Perform structural engineering assignments under the direction of a licensed engineer with clear and specific objectives
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to structural design teams
- Assist with the preparation of structural engineering projects, including: analysis and design of railroad and highway bridges, reinforced concrete design, structural steel design, prestressed concrete design, deep and shallow foundation analysis and design, development of plans, specifications, and estimates, retaining walls, and other structural elements
- Application of basic techniques, theories, precepts and practices in small and large structural engineering projects
- Occasionally required to gather offsite field data
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Registered PE in Texas, or the ability to quickly become registered in Texas
- 6 or more years of experience working with structural engineering, specifically with the design and analysis of bridges
- In depth knowledge of the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Bridge Specifications and American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA)
- Experience with Production/Task Management to include quality control, documentation management, and consistency in meeting deadlines
- Experience with STAAD or alternate structural engineering modeling software, MDX, CSi Bridge, Bridge Link and Bentley Engineering products is a plus
- TxDOT or other DOT experience is a plus
- Willingness and ability to do light to moderate travel in efforts to collect field data offsite
- Willingness and ability to work in various weather conditions may be required

Bridge CAD Designer
Location: Frisco, TX
Job Responsibilities
- Perform complex and non-routine CAD design assignments with minimal supervision, following direction from Project Managers and Project Engineers
- Develop bridge, roadway, and related infrastructure plans using OpenBridge Designer, OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and Autodesk Civil 3D
- Create plan, profile, title, and detail sheets and assemble complete final construction plan sets
- Provide drafting and minor design support for bridge and roadway projects, including 3D model development
- Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and minor mathematical calculations
- Coordinate work assignments with engineers, project teams, and supervisors to meet project schedules
- Perform quality control reviews of design plans and review work completed by junior CAD staff prior to submission
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, including TxDOT Bridge Detailing Manual and TxDOT Bridge Standards
- Support grading, drainage, and utility plan preparation as required by project scope
- Mentor and assist junior-level CAD staff and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist other teams as needed
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in bridge, structural, roadway, or related infrastructure drafting and design
- Proficiency in OpenBridge Designer, OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and/or Autodesk Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of CAD drafting techniques, standards, and construction plan preparation
- Experience producing full construction plan sets, including drawing sequence, detailing, and presentation
- Familiarity with TxDOT bridge standards and detailing requirements
- Knowledge of grading, drainage, and utility plan design preferred
- Associate degree from a technical or four-year institution; degree or certification in CAD or related field preferred
- Experience with GEOPAK preferred
- GIS experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and review work of junior team members

Compensation range: 150k-250k
Job Responsibilities
- Performs structural engineering associated with transportation and public works projects, , bridge design, and heavy highway construction including reinforced concrete design, structural steel design, prestressed concrete design, deep and shallow foundation analysis and design, complex retaining walls and systems, and maintenance/hydraulics access junction boxes
- Conceptualizes the initial structural design approach for major phases of small to large projects or has overall responsibility for the structural engineering work on a project of a limited or larger scope.
- Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates structural engineering work, and supervises the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with City, State, and County officials, and other outside agencies.
- Resolves a variety of complex problems, (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
- Serves as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Reviews plans and prepares or reviews technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
- Plans, schedules and conducts or coordinates construction services on projects of moderate to large scope.
- Supervises the work of less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project.
- Assist in the management of projects.
- Assist with business development efforts including proposal preparation, strategic teaming and partnerships, and new client development
- Holds membership in professional associations and participates on company committees.
- Performs other duties assigned by a Senior or Lead Engineer, Project Manager, or Supervisor
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida, or ability to have registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida within (60) days of hire date
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years of post-registration, progressive work experience in the civil/structural engineering field
- Experience with structural services in the delivery of FDOT Plans, Specifications, and Estimates
- Experience with design of water/wastewater, tunnels, drainage, highway, marine, rail, and airport structures a plus.
- In depth knowledge of American Concrete Institutes (ACI), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Minimum Design Loads for Structures, ASCE 7, and American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Bridge Specifications. Some knowledge of American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) a plus.
- Experience with STAAD or alternate structural engineering modeling software, other structural software, MDX, CSi, LEAP, LPILE+, Bentley Engineering products (OpenBridge design/modeling)
- Demonstrated ability to supervise subordinates performing structural engineering analysis, design and contract document preparation
- Ability to coordinate all phases of a project
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In-office work is required, but we offer limited remote work as a benefit
