BARK Happy Dog Concierge (On-Site Hospitality, Part-Time Role)
Location: Based at our partner luxury property. Candidates must be within commuting distance and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Surprise and delight guests with thoughtful gestures: from a personalized dog portrait and custom welcome amenity to mark a special milestone, to supporting Dog-Inclusive Tea Service and Dog-First Excursions. We are looking for fellow dog lovers with a heart for hospitality who create joy naturally, without being asked.
The Role
The onsite BARK Happy Concierge is the heart of the dog guest experience at our hotel partner properties. This team member curates one-of-a-kind experiences for dogs and their humans, ensuring every moment feels personal, effortless, and full of care. The role blends hospitality expertise, dog behavior knowledge, and a genuine love for service.
Key Responsibilities
Canine Care and Comfort
- Serve as the primary expert for all on-property dog needs, from wellness checks and enrichment to special requests.
- Manage safe, positive dog interactions in shared pet-friendly spaces, and walking trails.
- Offer gentle guidance and reassurance to guests traveling with multiple dogs or pups with unique needs.
Guest Experience and Service
- Deliver best-in-class hospitality for guests and their dogs, grounded in warmth, intuition, and care.
- Help personalize every stay, from custom dog beds and welcome amenities to remembering and recognizing birthdays, favorite snacks, or preferred walking routes.
- Anticipate needs before they are voiced to ensure both dog parent and pup guests feel completely at ease.
- Recognize and celebrate guest moments, such as surprising families with treats or a small celebration for a pup’s birthday or milestone.
Hotel Operations and Coordination
- Partner with property teams, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and spa, to help integrate dog-friendly services seamlessly.
- Maintain pristine standards in all dog-accessible areas, ensuring cleanliness and comfort meet luxury expectations.
- Coordinate with local vendors such as groomers, vets, dog-friendly restaurants and transportation services.
Experiences and Enrichment
- Curate and lead daily or seasonal experiences that inspire dog connection and delight, including guided walks, Dog-Inclusive Tea Service, exclusive Dog-First Excursions, and indulgent light grooming treatments for pups.
- Capture special moments for guests, contributing to BARK’s storytelling and community engagement.
Communication and Care
- Communicate clearly and warmly with guests both in person and digitally, creating lasting relationships built on trust.
- Handle any behavioral challenges, emergencies, or special requests with calm confidence and professionalism.
Qualifications and Skills
- Deep understanding of dog behavior and comfort managing dogs in group and social settings.
- Minimum of two years of experience in one or more of the following: luxury hospitality, veterinary care, dog training, or dog daycare.
- Exceptional customer service mindset that is proactive, empathetic, and guest-focused.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and demeanor that reflect luxury service standards.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, walk for extended periods, and safely handle dogs of all sizes.
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Slack (training provided).

Ground Support – BARK Air (Part-Time)

- San Francisco OAK Airport (Once or twice a month on flight days from 8:30am - 11:30am)
- London STN Airport (Biweekly Fridays 11:30am - 2:30pm)
- Paris LBG Airport (Biweekly Fridays 12:30pm - 3:30pm)
Salary: $20 - $30 / hour dependent on location

THE GIG
We’re looking for a Ground Support team member to be the ultimate welcome crew for our dogs and their humans in the FBO lounge. You’ll be part greeter, part concierge, part treat-dispenser, and full-time dog lover. If you love aviation, hospitality, and the idea of making dogs’ travel dreams come true, we’d love to have you on board.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (A.K.A. YOUR FLIGHT PLAN)
Rolling out the (imaginary) red carpet – Be the first friendly face our VIPs (Very Important Pups) and their humans see when they arrive at the lounge. Make them feel at home, answer questions, and ensure they have everything they need.
Serving up the good stuff – Refreshments for humans? Check. Treats for pups? Double check. Keep the lounge stocked and make sure everyone (two- and four-legged) has what they need before takeoff.
Dog handler, cuddle expert, pup concierge – Some dogs are chill flyers, others need a little extra reassurance. You’ll help make sure they’re comfortable, happy, and ready for their big adventure.
Helping with the “ruff” stuff – Assist with light baggage handling, making sure pups’ essentials (beds, leashes, squeaky toys) are packed and ready to go.
Keeping things running smoother than a well-groomed poodle – Work with the Flight Concierge and FBO staff to ensure seamless check-in, boarding, and deplaning. If something unexpected happens, you’re cool under pressure and ready to jump in.
Creating an unforgettable experience – Every moment at BARK Air should be tail-waggingly delightful. You’re here to make that happen—whether it’s hyping up a nervous pup or making a human smile with a fun surprise.
WHO YOU ARE
- You love dogs. Like, really love dogs.
- You have customer service or hospitality experience and know how to make people (and pups) feel welcome.
- You’re cool under pressure and can handle last-minute changes with a smile.
- You don’t mind rolling up your sleeves (or rolling on the floor with a puppy).
- You’re reliable, professional, and excited to be part of something new and special.
- Bonus points if you have aviation, FBO, or airport experience—but not required!

Your keen eye for detail and proactive action to our customers' needs are mission-critical and will make their journey a delightfully memorable one.
Seamless Journey Management: You're the orchestrator of smooth operations, from the moment passengers check in to the time they collect their luggage. You'll be the hero at the curbside, the guru in the lounge, and the guardian in the skies, ensuring every part of the BARK Air voyage seamless and breezy.
Navigating the Unexpected: Flight delays, misplaced toys, or a surprise case of the zoomies - you handle it all with grace and agility, making sure every bump in the road (or air) is smoothed over with BARK Air's trademark care and attention.
Being the Know-It-All (In The Best Way): From the latest in fare deals to the schedule of our next dog-friendly destination, you're the encyclopedia of all things BARK Air, ready and eager to share your knowledge.
Adaptability: Duties may vary depending on passenger and business needs, requiring flexibility and a willingness to assist where needed is a must.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
● Dog Behavior & Medical Knowledge: Confidently manage dogs in group settings, preventing or addressing any potential conflicts.
● Customer Service Training: Completion of BARK Air Concierge training program, demonstrating your ability to handle various situations.
● Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with our BARK Air passengers and team members.
● Computer Proficiency: Ability to use computer systems efficiently, such as Google Suite, Slack, Expensify, Navan, Whatsapp.
● Attention to Detail: Prep work pre-flight, memorizing passenger lists, noting down preferences, sharing in-depth debriefs.
● Independence & Teamwork: As the sole BARK Air representative for passengers in person and in the skies, you'll be responsible for ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience from start to finish.
● Emergency Preparedness: Being aware of potential hazards and the ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
● Professional Appearance: Presenting a well-groomed appearance in accordance with BARK Air uniform and standards.
● A Government Issued Passport: To travel internationally.
● Candidates may need to assist with handling pups with mobility issues or passenger luggage. Candidates should demonstrate the capability to regularly lift and/or relocate objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
● Candidates should be capable of climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing frequently and for extended durations.
● Candidates must retain the ability to wear designated uniforms.
● Ability to Travel Domestically & Internationally on 4 - 10 flights per month
● Understanding and strong recognition of dog behaviors OR 2yr+ of vet tech experience
● 2-5 years of in-person hospitality experience a plus
● You do not need flight attendant qualifications. Our BARK Air Concierges work alongside our charter partner’s crew to ensure a smooth and enjoyable in-flight experience.
● $25 - $40 per hourly
● Meals and overnight hotel stays are covered
