The Role

AXS is seeking a Senior Manager, Paid Search, to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This role will manage a $2-5M annual search budget across thousands of campaigns, utilizing your expertise in Google Ads, Search Ads 360, and advanced bid/keyword management strategies. Reporting to the Director of Paid Marketing, you will be key in driving daily optimizations and strategic initiatives to maximize ROI and scale our digital marketing efforts, specifically in paid search.

What Will You Do?

• Manage real-time bid strategies to achieve target CPC and ROI across campaigns.
• Apply a mix of automated rules and manual adjustments to maintain budget alignment and performance goals.
• Analyze keyword performance and continuously refine ad copy to improve CTR and conversion rates.
• Test messaging variations and identify new optimization opportunities.
• Lead campaign setup and launch efforts, ensuring alignment with targeting strategies, device optimization, ad extensions, and scheduling parameters.
• Develop templates and repeatable processes for large-scale campaign deployments.
• Collaborate with MarTech to implement automation and improve speed to launch.
• Monitor performance KPIs, adjust campaign strategy based on insights, and regularly assess campaign health.
• Build and refine performance dashboards to surface real-time campaign insights and inform strategic decisions.
• Prepare campaign reports highlighting key trends, wins, and areas for improvement.
• Analyze performance data to drive actionable next steps.
• Develop and manage A/B testing plans to optimize ad copy, bidding strategies, and keyword targeting across high-volume campaigns.
• Partner with the Director of Paid Marketing to align operational efforts with broader marketing objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Stay current on paid search trends and best practices, incorporating new tactics to enhance overall campaign performance.

What Will You Bring?

• BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Marketing, Economics, Math, Finance, or related fields
• 4- 6 years of hands-on paid search marketing experience, managing annual budgets exceeding $2M, with ultimate accountability for measurable ROI.
• Proven track record of quickly diagnosing performance issues and adjusting tactics in real time.
• Extensive experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns across brand and performance objectives.
• Advanced understanding of paid search fundamentals including bidding strategies, keyword targeting, and ad copy optimization.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets, draw actionable insights, and develop performance dashboards.
• Proficiency in tracking key metrics and making data-driven optimization decisions.
• Proficiency in leveraging automation tools and MarTech solutions to streamline campaign setup, optimization, and reporting.
• Meticulous approach to setting up campaigns, managing budgets, and ensuring consistent campaign performance.
• Understanding of media planning principles and core marketing concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling thousands of simultaneous campaigns at scale.
• Advanced proficiency with Google Ads and Search Ads 360. Proficiency with web analytics/BI tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and Looker. SQL proficiency a plus.
• Proven success with A/B test design and optimization. Willingness to experiment with new tactics, test, and refine strategies based on data insights.

Pay Scale: $100,765- $130,000

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.

THE ROLE

The Marketing Manager role in Japan is a key position, primarily responsible for B2C marketing execution across our websites. You will focus on utilizing key marketing channels effectively and efficiently to drive ticket sales, while also supporting consumer and client brand awareness. Working closely with the global marketing team and local stakeholders, you will monitor and update front-facing promotional areas and support B2B communications as needed.

You are highly organized and accustomed to working in a fast-paced team environment. You have a keen eye for detail and can work with speed and accuracy. Your presentation skills are excellent, and you have a good command of English and Japanese. You are proficient in photo editing, can multi-task effortlessly, and remain positive and calm under pressure. You easily build friendly rapport with colleagues, adapting your style to work with a variety of people. You thrive as part of a passionate, busy team who love what they do.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

　

• Email marketing rollout for all weekly B2C campaigns – including newsletters, solus mails and ad-hoc campaigns. Work at getting the best out of the Salesforce email tool
• Push engaging content across our social media channels – keeping the artist & AXS brands in mind
• Supporting B2B business development and branding with communication and campaign support
• Work on regular competitor analysis and feedback.
• Paid social media and Google Ad word campaigns
• Using analytical tools, build weekly and monthly reports on Looker for Senior Management, feeding back results and improvement plans.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support marketing across AXS.com, including ability to edit images, text and links.
• Collaboration with the Client Services Team to ensure processes are maintained and to continuously work on improvements.
• Ensure that AXS.com copy meets SEO requirements. Ensure that copy on each page is edited to be concise, refreshed and focused on key work search improvement.
• Work closely with the venues and promoters ticketing teams to ensure that processes are maintained and reviewed regularly to improve usability. This includes occasional face to face client meetings.
• Sending of B2B communications and product updates with the sales team
• Updating AXS Tickets B2B Solutions website and updating company LinkedIn page
• Lead on all social media communications – growing followers and engagement
• Plan and execute paid performance advertising (social media & Google), in collaboration with the relevant team.
• Use of Salesforce ECRM platform and sending out emails to our database
• Work with Looker data reports to review work and improve best practice / revenue drive
• Continuous review of competitors and reporting
• Working with data from previous shows and campaigns to best target future sales
• Work cross-functionally with the rest of the AXS Tickets team and wider AXS global team
• Positively adapting to our company culture and living our core values
• Translations for global marketing / product needs from English to Japanese

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in marketing, content, or related roles
• Hands-on experience with social media, CMS, and website back-end management
• Basic proficiency in Photoshop; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience leading projects or small teams is preferred
• Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making skills
• Japanese proficiency: JLPT N1 or native level
