Job Description

The Enterprise Data Engineer supports the organization’s core enterprise systems and data platforms, with responsibilities spanning ERP technical support, data pipeline development, and system integrations. This role helps ensure reliable system operations while enabling scalable analytics and reporting solutions across the organization.  This role also serves as a key technical partner to the software development team, assisting with the management of on-premises infrastructure and the modernization of deployment workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the organization’s ERP platform and related integrations.
• Assist with ERP system maintenance, upgrades, testing, and performance monitoring.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes supporting the Microsoft Fabric data platform.
• Integrate data from ERP and other business systems to support analytics and reporting initiatives.
• Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to support Power BI datasets and reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems, including ERP, Quickbase, and other applications.
• Document system configurations, data pipelines, and integration processes while supporting ongoing platform improvements.
• Infrastructure Bridge: Provide secondary support for the development team’s on-premises Windows/IIS environment, ensuring server stability for hosted applications and databases.
• Deployment Support: Partner with software developers to transition manual "local" deployments into automated CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
• Environment Stewardship: Monitor on-premises SQL Server health (backups, performance, and storage) to support both the ERP and the broader data platform.

Qualifications

• ERP: Experience supporting ERP or enterprise business systems.
• SQL: Strong SQL and data troubleshooting skills.
• ETL: Experience with ETL processes and modern data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or similar).
• BI: Familiarity with Power BI data models and analytics environments.
• DevOps Mindset: Basic experience with (or a strong desire to learn) Azure DevOps pipeline configuration and automation.
• Windows Server Familiarity: Practical knowledge of IIS (site configuration/SSL)

The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing, modeling, and interpreting complex datasets to support decision-making across the civil engineering organization. This role focuses on leveraging data from Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, the Microsoft technology stack, and Power BI to develop predictive models, dashboards, and analytical insights that enhance project performance, financial forecasting, resource planning, and operational efficiency. In addition to supporting project, financial, and operational analytics, this role also provides analytical support for Human Resources initiatives, including workforce reporting, talent metrics, and HR data insights that inform organizational planning and employee experience strategies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Extract, analyze, and model data from Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint, Microsoft SQL Server, and other enterprise systems.
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations that deliver actionable insights to project managers, financial teams, and leadership.
• Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to support forecasting, project risk identification, and operational decision-making.
• Create and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Microsoft tools such as Power Query, SQL, Dataverse, and SharePoint integrations.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through rigorous validation and quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project management, finance, Human Resources, and IT teams to understand business needs and develop tailored analytical solutions.
• Communicate complex analytical results clearly to non-technical audiences through visualizations, summaries, and presentations.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

• Understanding of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint data structures, reporting tables, and integration patterns.

• 3–7 years of experience in data analytics or data science, preferably within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry.
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics using Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Power BI dashboard development and data modeling.
• Experience working with SQL databases and building data pipelines or ETL processes.
