As a Senior Specialist in AI/ML within ASM’s Operations Intelligence function, you will play a pivotal role in reimagining how data, artificial intelligence, and intelligent automation transform global operations. You will design, build, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions that optimize semiconductor supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics performance. By translating complex operational challenges into impactful AI-driven solutions, you will help demonstrate the power of agentic AI, large language models, and advanced analytics—driving measurable business outcomes and shaping the future of smart manufacturing at scale.

What you will be working on

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced prediction models, including Agentic AI systems and Large Language Models (LLMs), to drive automation, intelligent decision-making, and innovation across Global Operations.
• Collaborate with leaders, program managers, and cross-functional teams to integrate AI into existing systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning techniques, Agentic AI, and LLMs, and evaluate their applicability to Global Operations’ business challenges.
• Analyze business problem statements, translate business problem statements into data and AI requirements, collaborate with tech team to identify data sources, extract and transform data, perform data modelling, simulate outputs, test to produce data and knowledge for AI Solutions.
• Automate and integrate data and AI solution development and deployment; identify and prioritize opportunities, and develop proof-of-concepts for AI/ML applications to automate manual business processes.
• Work closely with data engineers, data analysts/scientists, senior management, and other stakeholders to support digital transformation.

What you will be working on

• Maintain data governance documentation including policies, standards, definitions, and operating procedures. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning techniques, agentic AI, and LLMs, and evaluate their applicability to Global Operations’ business challenges.
• Collaborate with data Owners, data stewards to enforce Data Governance rules across Global Operations functions
• Drive early-stage exploration and stakeholder discovery for AI Governance, clarify scope, use-case inventory, risk tiers, and key decision points to shape the operating model.
• Establish and socialize an AI Governance framework (roles & responsibilities, controls, and documentation) to support FEAT-aligned assessments across the AI lifecycle (design, development, validation, deployment, and monitoring).
• Develop, monitor, measure, and report on data quality KPIs and scorecards.
• Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide recommendations.
• Lead the exploration for Enterprise Data Catalogs development using tools.
• Partner with business teams to understand data quality needs and governance pain points.
• Drive agenda in Data Governance Council meetings.
• Develop Agentic AI pilots for automating core Data Governance Processes, Data Quality Monitoring, Access Controls, Detect data drifts, autonomous root cause analysis and issue resolutions.
• Conceptualize autonomous Data Governance monitoring tasks and envision Autonomous Data Stewardship

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics Information Systems, or any related quantitative / STEM field.
• Minimum 5 of experience  in Data Governance/Data Management/Analytics/Data SME roles.
• Experience with Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management or Master Data Management programs. Familiarity with any commercial data governance platforms (Collibra, Atlan etc.)
• Knowledge of SAP systems (S4 HANA, CRM, SRM), Kinaxis, and business processes in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, or Engineering
• Familiarity with DAMA principles. Data Governance certification CDMP
• AI Literacy of any leading AL/LLM frameworks – Claude/Copilot etc.
• Familiarity with data privacy, security, and ethical AI practices.
• Strong affinity for applying AI – concepts and tools into Data Governance
• Experience in Data Governance Project Management in High Tech Manufacturing
• Understanding of data architecture, data warehousing concepts, ETL pipelines
• Strong SQL /Python skills for data validation and profiling.
• Strong in MS Excel; PowerPoint Presentations; Microsoft Platform tools.
• Strong Communication skills - verbal and written to contribute in business discussions, communicate insights, and influence stakeholders.

What you will be working on

• Develop the development of ASM’s Intelligent Automation, Smart Manufacturing, and Warehouse Automation roadmap, ensuring alignment with long-term automation and digital transformation goals.
• Define the strategic roadmap for robotics, machine vision, and emerging technologies such as humanoid robots and autonomous systems.
• Engage stakeholders across Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality to identify automation opportunities and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
• Drive vendor engagements, including solution evaluation, design reviews, and validation of proposals for automation, vision inspection, and warehouse systems.
• Collaborate with operations leaders, program managers, and external vendors to ensure automation systems seamlessly integrate into existing operation ecosystems.
• Perform feasibility studies, ROI modeling, and capacity analysis to justify automation investments and ensure alignment with ASM’s long-term operational strategies.
• Stay current with advancements in AIoT, robotics, machine vision, automation frameworks, digital twins, and humanoid-capable automation systems.
• Ensuring initiatives comply with internal standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity considerations.
• Oversee proof‑of‑concept evaluations for advanced automation solutions and guide decision‑makers in adopting future-ready technologies.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in automation or smart manufacturing projects.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in machine vision, and industrial automation ecosystem architecture.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES)workflows, production orchestration, and integration concepts
• Experience with operational processes in Engineering to Order, Low volume to High mix Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, or Supply Chain
