About the position
We are seeking a Lab Operations Assistant to join the Scientific Operations team at Arc for an initial period of 6 months, with the opportunity to convert to a full-time employee role based on our assessment at the end of that period of our continued business needs and your performance.
The Lab Operations Assistant is dedicated to providing exceptional support to Arc’s research labs. Responsibilities include media preparation and media QC, ordering and restocking consumables and other laboratory materials, glassware preparation, and other ad hoc tasks. This is primarily a manual labor role; the majority of your time will be spent on hands-on, physical tasks. Comfort with and commitment to physical work is essential.

We are searching for an exceptional scientific leader to establish a new team within Arc Institute’s Computational Technology Center, serving as the Director, Machine Learning for our Alzheimer's Disease Initiative (ADI).
This ambitious initiative spans Arc's Technology Centers and Core Investigator Laboratories and focuses on high-throughput interrogation of neurodegeneration and Alzheimer's disease mechanisms using advanced gene editing and functional genomics approaches. As the Machine Learning Research Lead, ADI, you will spearhead development of sophisticated machine learning foundation models to capture cell states and infer gene regulatory networks and causal relationships to predict therapeutic interventions.

About the position
The Hsu Lab and Konermann Lab are seeking applications for a Scientist in Nucleic Acid Biochemistry at the Arc Institute in Palo Alto, CA, focusing on mechanistic dissection and engineering of Bridge Recombinases—naturally occurring RNA-guided DNA recombinases that we recently discovered and showed can programmably insert, excise, and invert DNA (Nature, 2024; Science, 2025). The candidate will drive the next phase of Bridge Recombinase evolution. Building on our work establishing IS110 and ISCro4 as programmable tools, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team with the goal to engineer bridge RNAs and recombinases for megabase-scale genome modifications, therapeutic gene circuit integration, and scarless disease correction.
In this role, you will lead the mechanistic program that underpins this effort. You will design and execute rigorous in vitro assays to mechanistically interrogate how bridge recombinases, in complex with their bridge RNAs, recognize target and donor DNA and catalyze strand exchange across all three recombination modalities—insertion, inversion, and excision. Your work will define the parameters that govern recombinase activity, specificity, and the balance between productive and off-pathway outcomes.

About the position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Associate to join the Molecular Engineering team within the Genome Engineering Technology Center at Arc for a fixed term of six months to support the execution of arrayed genetic perturbation screens in disease-relevant human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC)-derived cells. In this position, you will play a key role in our Molecular Engineering platform development efforts for end-to-end lentiviral gRNA delivery to differentiated cells by executing, evaluating, and optimizing protocols to efficiently deliver high levels of perturbations into cells that will be incorporated into 2D and 3D brain models by our collaborators in the Cellular Models Tech Center. Through this work, you will play a critical role in the Institute's Alzheimer's Disease Initiative, an ambitious cross-functional effort aimed at identifying and developing drugs for rational therapeutic targets to combat devastating neurodegenerative disorders.

About the position
We are seeking a Scientific Program Manager Lead to drive and coordinate strategic research initiatives across Arc Institute. This role will be instrumental in orchestrating complex, multi-disciplinary projects that span our Technology Centers encompassing cellular models, mammalian models, genome engineering, multi-omics, computational biology, and machine learning.
A defining dimension of this role is the facilitation of cross-functional and cross-institutional collaboration to keep Arc's most complex programs moving. You will lead regular working meetings across Technology Centers, Core Investigator groups, and institute leadership—surfacing and resolving blockers, ensuring effective resource allocation, and maintaining alignment across teams working toward shared scientific goals. About the position
The Program Manager is a key member of the University Relations & Academic Affairs team. In this role, you will provide strategic and programmatic support to the team as well as the overall Arc community. The Program Manager portfolio includes Arc’s Innovation Investigator and Ignite Awardee programs, the Arc Biosciences Fellowship program, onboarding of new faculty, as well as other initiatives. The Program Manager will also have an active role in the development and execution of our university relations strategy.
You will help establish and improve processes for all the programs and projects in your portfolio, and take the lead on several internal initiatives. About the position
The Hsu Lab is seeking applications for a Scientist at the Arc Institute in Palo Alto, CA, focusing on the development and applications of novel genome engineering technologies. We recently discovered and developed Bridge Recombinases, which are naturally occurring RNA-guided DNA recombinases that can programmably insert, excise, and invert DNA (Nature, 2024 and Science, 2025). The candidate will drive the next phase of Bridge Recombinase evolution. Building on our work establishing IS110 and ISCro4 as programmable tools, you will lead efforts to engineer bridge RNAs and recombinases for megabase-scale genome modifications, therapeutic gene circuit integration, and scarless disease correction. About the position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist to join the Horns Lab at the Arc Institute. In this position, you will lead the development of a novel platform for mapping human antibody specificities at scale. You will play a critical role in building, optimizing, and applying a system for high-throughput identification of antigen-specific B cells and their antibody sequences through single-cell sequencing. Your work will directly impact our understanding of human immunity and the discovery of new antibodies.
The successful candidate will develop and scale this antibody discovery platform within the Horns lab at the Arc Institute. This work will initially focus on optimizing antigen-specific B cell isolation, establishing single-cell sequencing readouts, and scaling to multiplexed screens.
