About The Team
The Global Stock Selection (GSS) group is responsible for the portfolio management and research of AQR's strategies relating to individual equities and equity related securities across all global liquid markets. GSS models are applied to market-neutral long/short portfolios in AQR hedge funds as well as to long-only, relaxed-constraint and low volatility portfolios for institutional equity mandates and mutual funds.
Your Role
AQR Capital Management is seeking a talented Researcher to join our team of professionals and focus on our proprietary strategies related to global stock selection. Candidates should be motivated and enthusiastic about implementing new ideas and are expected to be hands-on and self-sufficient in conducting all aspects of research projects. Researchers manage all aspects of the research process including data ingestion and processing, analysis, methodology selection, implementation, testing and performance evaluation. The role will involve collaboration with other researchers, portfolio managers, risk managers and traders to develop new and improve current investment strategies. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Engage in alpha research and other quantitative analysis to improve current investment strategies in collaboration with existing research team
- Perform statistical and economic research using traditional financial and alternative data to develop new alpha signals. Successful researchers manage, in collaboration with supervising portfolio manager, all aspects of the research process including data ingestion and processing, data analysis, methodology selection, implementation and testing, prototyping, and performance evaluation.
- Engage in building, training and fine-tuning machine learning architectures for cross-sectional or time-series Learn how to use the appropriate model for the problem at hand. Construct economically nuanced features from raw data and adjust or develop new frameworks to evaluate their effectiveness. Engage with most recent academic and practitioner literature in the field.
- Occasionally, conduct research on various aspects of the implementation of investment strategies such as trading cost models, risk models, optimization, and portfolio construction
- Add features to proprietary research system to implement new research ideas
What You’ll Bring
- B.S. degree from a top institution in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, operations research, physics or another quantitative discipline. Academic or practitioner experience in machine learning methodologies preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience working in a data driven research environment with an alpha focus
- Experience in quantitative research at a top asset manager or hedge fund preferred
- Proficient programming in Python required
- Experience with translating mathematical models and algorithms into code
- Ability to manipulate large financial data sets for empirical research and handle complex
- Experience with machine learning software libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience with natural language processing technology, including LLMs and prompt engineering is a plus
- Strong quantitative skills with demonstrated understanding of mathematics, probability, statistics and linear algebra

The Team
The Compliance group is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and testing AQR’s control environment. It is responsible for ensuring the firm is acting as a responsible fiduciary to our clients. It creates sets of policies and procedures that define how AQR operates its business. It analyzes and visualizes data to monitor the activities of the organization and give advice to other functions. It is also mandated with ensuring AQR complies with all relevant regulatory and industry rules and regulations.
We are currently seeking an exceptionally talented individual with five to seven years’ with experience with regulatory reporting, including derivatives transaction reporting, preferably with an investment manager, broker-dealer, or fund administrator, to join our Compliance Department.
Your Role
- Assist in the preparation and submission of all regulatory reports filed on behalf of the firm.
- Coordinate collecting and synthesizing data for various daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to U.S. and foreign regulators and departments, such as the SEC, CFTC, NFA, U.S. Treasury, Bureau of Economic Analysis, as well the UK’s FCA, Germany’s BaFin, Italy’s CONSOB, and various others.
- Develop and document internal processes and procedures related to the firm’s various current and future filing obligations.
- Keep abreast of global regulatory developments, particularly in the U.S., Asia, and Europe, and apprise other departments and groups of applicable requirements by researching regulatory and filing rules and writing and communicating guidelines and while becoming a part of a strategic solution for process and control modifications within the firm.
- Develop and enhance processes to collect and synthesize data to review and reconcile transaction reporting data related to EMIR, SFTR, and Australia’s OTC Derivatives Reporting Regime.
What You’ll Bring
- An undergraduate degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science

About The Team
The Macro Strategies team is responsible for the research and portfolio management of AQR’s entire range of strategies which focus on macro asset classes. These strategies include Managed Futures, Alternative Trends, Global Macro, Risk Parity, Commodities and Multi-Strategy portfolios, among several others.
Product specialist teams play a key role bridging AQR’s portfolio management and research process to other functional areas, particularly business development. They are an integral part of initiatives to create, market and manage specific AQR products. Product specialist teams are integral to processes related to new product research and development, creating content for new and customized internal and external presentations, new account onboarding, portfolio implementation monitoring, performance analysis, and interactions with existing clients and prospects. Product specialists serve as portfolio management team representatives in interactions with the rest of the firm including portfolio implementation, trading, business development, legal, compliance, risk, operations and marketing teams. Through this collaboration, product specialist teams have in-depth knowledge of the strategies they cover and are expected to be in-house experts of their respective products.
Your Role
We are seeking an exceptionally talented individual to join AQR’s macro strategies product specialist team. This role will give end-to-end exposure to the portfolio management process and continued evolution of AQR’s macro strategies and will include opportunities to work with senior investment professionals across the firm. Responsibilities include:
Client communication:
- Prepare client-ready written responses to investment questions spanning a variety of topics: e.g., investment philosophy, investment process, performance, performance drivers, portfolio characteristics, etc.
- Create and help improve presentations, review materials and collateral for pitching new business
- Help organize and run analyses for RFPs
Investment monitoring and analysis:

The Team
AQR is looking to hire a full-time Associate on our U.S. Wealth Team, within the Business Development group in a Business Management role. The Business Development group works with AQR’s clients in North America, Europe, Australia and the Middle East to provide solutions to achieve their investment objectives. - U.S. Wealth - The U.S. Wealth group was created to engage with taxable U.S. investors and their advisors. Role Overview
As a member of the U.S. Wealth Business Management team, you will work directly with senior leadership on the key priorities driving the growth of AQR’s US Wealth business. As a Senior Software Engineer in Portfolio Implementation, you will lead the design and delivery of complex, mission-critical systems that turn investment ideas into reality. The Team
AQR is looking to hire a full-time Analyst to join our U.S. Wealth team. As part of our Business Development group, our U.S. Wealth team engages with taxable U.S. investors and their advisors. Your Role
- Provide senior relationship managers with sales and administrative support, including preparing analysis, presentations, client/prospect materials, and updating databases (CRM).

Your Role

The Global Stock Selection (GSS) group is responsible for the portfolio management and research of AQR's strategies relating to individual equities and equity related securities across all global liquid markets. GSS models are applied to market-neutral long/short portfolios in AQR hedge funds as well as to long-only and relaxed-constraint portfolios for institutional equity mandates, tax-aware mandates and mutual funds.

Your Role
We are seeking an exceptionally talented individual to join GSS’s product specialist team. This role will give end-to-end exposure to the portfolio management process and continued evolution of AQR’s equity products and will include opportunities to work with senior investment professionals across the firm. - Client communication:
- Prepare client-ready written responses to investment questions spanning a variety of topics: e.g., investment philosophy, investment process, performance, performance drivers, portfolio characteristics, etc.

- Provide white-glove inbound and outbound client support, including helping to service clients, quantify prospects, and sending follow-up information
- Onboard new RIAs and accounts into the Flex SMA strategies
- Help oversee and manage the daily Contribution, Withdrawal and Transfer process for AQR’s Flex Separately Managed Accounts. Includes coordinating document completion between AQR Business Development and Legal Teams as well as clients directly.
- Work closely with AQR’s Portfolio Implementation Team to translate daily cash flow details which facilitates the portfolio optimization process.
- Investigate, coordinate, and provide responses to operational inquiries that span AQR’s operational infrastructure
- Work in conjunction with AQR’s Onboarding Team to facilitate the launch of new, complex, and innovative strategies
- Interact regularly with AQR’s Engineering team to enhance systems and improve technology and processes surrounding cash flows and client account management.
- Identify operational inefficiencies across product structures and help create scalable workflows whether automated or outsourced to align functions across the platform.
- Help drive and track both tactical and strategic project initiatives that span the firm.

The salary range for this role is expected to be $100,000 to $115,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting. The Team:
We are seeking an exceptionally talented individual to join our Global Trading Strategies team as a Macro Trader with a focus on Commodities. Candidates should be ambitious, enthusiastic about implementing new ideas, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
The trader will lead our commodities trading efforts, taking primary responsibility for execution, strategy, and market engagement in this space. In addition, the role will provide cross-coverage and serve as a backup across other products, including Interest Rate Swaps, inflation-linked bonds, currencies, TBAs, repo, and volatility.
The trader will also partner closely with researchers and portfolio management teams to support market and liquidity analysis, navigate evolving market structure, and periodically review execution quality and costs. Finally, the role will contribute to building and enhancing pricing, automation, and analytics tools.
Your Role:
- Execute trades across global Commodities (developed and alternative), Fixed Income, and Volatility markets in line with PM intent, with strong discipline around liquidity, sizing, and risk.
- Apply deep understanding of market structure and liquidity dynamics across futures and OTC markets to optimize trade implementation and minimize market impact.
- Assess positioning, flows, and thematic drivers to inform execution timing and risk management decisions.
- Understand the full ecosystem of market participants — dealers, producers, consumers, CTAs, macro funds, real money, retail — and how their incentives shape price action.
- Evaluate and monitor risk across instruments, including basis, carry, convexity, funding, and cross-asset linkages.
- Identify and assess new markets or instruments with a disciplined framework for liquidity, structural risk, and execution quality.
- Continuously track macro developments (policy, inflation, growth, geopolitics, supply/demand dynamics) and translate them into actionable trading implications.
- Act as a thoughtful partner to PMs — asking the right risk questions before, during, and after trades.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2 to 5 years of experience trading or directly supporting trading in Rates, Commodities (energy, metals, agriculture, alternative commodities), and/or Volatility markets.
- Strong understanding of how macro markets actually function in practice — not just directionally, but structurally:
- Market microstructure and liquidity regimes
- Exchange-traded vs. OTC differences
- Positioning and flow dynamics
- Stress behavior and dislocations
- Demonstrated ability to assess execution quality and transaction costs across venues and instruments.
- Commercial judgment and risk awareness — you instinctively consider liquidity, crowding, downside asymmetry, and second-order effects before putting risk on.
- Experience evaluating new products or markets with a disciplined approach to structural risk and operational considerations.
