Brand & Communications Manager - GCR

We’re looking for a Brand & Communications manager with B2B experience -- preferably in the mobile or tech field -- to help drive traditional/ digital communications across a diverse range of verticals and markets throughout GCR. The ideal candidate has a hunger for creating compelling stories and ideas that garner attention from key industry and mainstream media, online communities, influencers, analysts and additional stakeholders. He or she thrives in a dynamic environment, is creative, data-driven, and an independent self-starter -- while knowing how to lead a team and agencies to orchestrate initiatives between regional and global marketing teams and their goals. This role will report directly to Sr. Director of Marketing, GCR.

What you'll do:

• Develop and implement fully integrated branding/communications plans in numerous markets across GCR – from strategy to tactics to execution
• Identify, leverage and prioritize opportunities to provide value that garners exposure in business, technology, marketing, advertising and mobile industries – and beyond
• Articulate and scale AppsFlyer’s thought leadership, defining topics for engagement through bylines, speaking opportunities, rapid-response, media interviews, announcements, events, awards, white papers, digital interactions, co-marketing initiatives and more
• Play a central role in the company’s content creation using data; this includes China-specific blog posts, presentations, guides, data studies, white papers, videos, infographics, webinars, and press bylines. This also includes developing outlines, briefs, and ideas into effective, well-researched content pieces that make an impact
• Manage agencies and POCs throughout GCR, ensuring positioning and messages are conveyed effectively and consistently across various markets and channels, while constantly measuring results and optimizing for success 
• Cultivate relationships with partners, customers and 3rd parties in order to leverage joint PR/marketing efforts and grow the AppsFlyer community base
• Partner across the organization to employ communication strategies that align with key regional and global objectives (product launches, educational content & research reports on industry topics, conveying customer success stories, etc.) and strengthen the company’s overall narrative while maximizing impact on the AppsFlyer brand and business

What you have:

• 5+ years experience creating and executing integrated PR / communications strategy & plans across regional markets for a high-tech or international company
• Excellent communication skill with growth mindset, good at managing stakeholders from different aspects and multitasking in a high-pace environment
• Track record of prominent press placements, existing relationships with top technology, business and industry trade reporters, savvy at both media and influencer relations (traditional, social, digital)
• Exceptional skills in writing, editing,with an ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights; as well as exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong story development skills, with an eye for detail and ability to drive stories with compelling visuals and messaging, providing spokesperson support
• Knowledge and interest in the worlds of tech, mobile, and digital marketing; Understanding of market trends and how to turn data into compelling stories, messages and campaigns
• Expertise managing agencies and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to drive terrific results, ensuring messages are conveyed effectively and consistently across channels
• Native Chinese speaker and advanced proficiency in written and spoken English

• Multitasking and ability to work independently

Responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end ownership of customer technical issues, including initial troubleshooting, identification of root cause, and issue resolution and communication.
• Serve as point of contact on customer escalations and ensure customer issues are resolved meticulously.
• Work with AppsFlyer’s R&D and product teams on escalations and product enhancement requests.
• Enrich our client Knowledge Base with relevant technical information.
• Create and lead support improvement processes across the company.
• Provide product feedback and insights to the business and R&D teams.
• Manage various internal projects, such as: training, ensuring support readiness for new feature releases, etc.
• Being a technical account manager for select VIP customers, working closely with the sales and business teams.

Preferred requirements:

• Development or mobile development experience
• Web / mobile marketing and digital advertising experience
• Being recommended by an AppsFlyer team member

What you’ll do: 

• Own the entire commercial relationships from prospecting to closing new potential clients and managing the client in his first months with AppsFlyer. 
• Be able to Identify, qualify and outbound potential clients. 
• You will spend 50% of your time on pipeline generation and the remaining 50% negotiating business terms with clients. 
• Demonstrate the product’s value to potential customers using a consultative approach that prioritizes speed without sacrificing quality. 
• Strong ability to manage personal quotas and forecast deal cycle timelines and anticipated contract values. 
• Partner with the Customer Engagement Team to ensure a seamless "hand-off" for new clients to ensure early value realization. 
• Utilize automation and technology, such as AI, to improve touchpoints with clients, streamline the sales process and prioritize your tasks 

What you’ll need: 

• 2+ years of experience in Account Executive, SaaS sales, SDR or similar relevant roles 
• Proven track record of managing a high volume of deals and meeting / exceeding quotas. 
• Ability to work autonomously in a regionalized timezone. 
• Outstanding verbal and written presentation skills, with experience of presenting value propositions to companies not educated
• Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities 
• Proven success navigating small organizations and the ability to quickly identify decision-makers and provide value 
• Ability to manage short sale processes with low amount of touchpoints 
• Strong intellectual curiosity and resilience in a changing market. 
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin - a must

What you will do

• Execute marketing plans that meet overall business goals for the Greater China Region on an offline activity and brand marketing level.
• Take a leading role in the planning and production of unique hosted events in Greater China from beginning to end (like significant brand flagship summit - MAMA, and top industry summit - ChinaJoy, etc.), including ideation, logistics, budget, partner coordination, vendor selection, branding, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with the ability to manage stakeholders from across the company: Sales, Customer Success, Product, and the Global Marketing Teams.
• Work closely with other marketing function managers within AppsFlyer, including PR/Social, Paid Media, Branding, Content, etc., to ensure high-efficiency cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage agencies and POCs throughout GCR, ensuring positioning and messages are conveyed effectively and consistently across various target stakeholders and channels, while constantly measuring results and optimizing for success.
• Constantly evaluate, prioritize, and optimize opportunities as they arise.
• Develop a strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals, and objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Native Chinese speaker,
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree with a track record of academic excellence.
• 5+ years of event marketing experience, with tracked experience managing significant brand-owned summits (premium VIP activities ideally), in the B2B or high-tech field; international company experience is a strong plus.
• Self-starter, high proactivity; able to work independently and leading initiatives in a rapidly growing company with a startup mindset; strong multi-tasking skills.
• Empathetic, collaborative mindset; able to build trust and work efficiently with key stakeholders and other co-workers.
• Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, time management, and negotiation skills.
• Works well under pressure.
• High standards for production and deliverable quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the mobile, digital marketing, and/or advertising space.
• Working experience in global agencies and in-house event marketing is a strong plus.
