Appian is looking for a Government Relations Intern who is ready to operate at the intersection of public policy and business value. You will support our Value Engineering efforts, helping us quantify and communicate the economic and operational impact of Appian's technology to government stakeholders. This is a high-visibility role on a growing team, with exposure to senior leaders, federal customers, and the policy community shaping the future of government technology.
This internship is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia, with periodic travel to Washington, DC and Capitol Hill to support meetings, hearings, and stakeholder engagements. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Interns in this program are expected to be in the office 5 days a week to fully experience our culture, learn directly from peers and mentors, and contribute to projects in a collaborative environment. Being in the office provides more opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate with the exceptional people across Appian.

The Global Partner Experience Lead is a critical, high-visibility role responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end journey for Appian's global partner ecosystem. This leader acts as the central hub of partner enablement, ensuring Appian partners receive a consistent, friction-free experience, world-class enablement resources, and clear, accelerated paths to proficiency across their sales, technical pre-sales, and delivery functions.
You will establish the Partner Enablement Center of Excellence (CoE), strategically aligning enablement efforts across Sales, Solutions Consulting (Pre-Sales), Product, and Professional Services (Delivery) to maximize partner-led revenue, speed up time-to-productivity, and drive successful customer outcomes globally.
Key Responsibilities:
As the leader of the Central Function, your responsibilities will focus on strategy, governance, experience design, and content curation:
Strategy & Governance: Define the global Partner Experience & Enablement Charter, mission, and operating model. Establish and lead the Partner Enablement Council (PEC), managing the centralized strategy with decentralized content ownership.
Partner Experience (PX) Design: Design and continuously map the partner's complete lifecycle and enablement journey (from recruitment to advanced competency). Ensure a unified, world-class digital experience through the Partner Portal/LMS and drive the adoption of new enablement technologies.
Program Ownership: Design and manage foundational global programs, including the Global Partner Onboarding curriculum, the strategic Certification Frameworks tied to partner tiers, and the annual "Train-the-Channel" summit.
Content Curation & Publishing: Own the centralized content taxonomy, version control, and publishing process. Act as the final quality gate to ensure all partner-facing content is accurate, consistent, and relevant.
Metrics & Reporting: Own the top-level Enablement KPIs. Implement the reporting framework and regularly communicate partner experience impact and performance metrics to senior leadership and the Partner Channel organization.
About You:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
7+ years of progressive experience in Partner Enablement, Channel Sales Strategy, or Field Enablement within a high-growth SaaS or Enterprise Software company.
3+ years in a leadership role responsible for a global or centralized enablement function.
Proven track record of designing, launching, and scaling complex global partner enablement programs (Onboarding, Certification, Tiered Requirements, Leveraging AI to Scale).
Expertise in Partner Lifecycle Mapping and translating partner needs into high-impact enablement programs.
Deep familiarity with LMS/Partner Portal/AI technologies and content management best practices (taxonomy, version control, Personalization, Scale).
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and drive alignment across functional teams (Sales, Product, Services) in a dotted-line reporting structure across teams.
Demonstrated ability to use data (KPIs, PSAT, Content Utilization) to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

The Global Alliances & Channels team at Appian plays a critical role in accelerating our global growth. We are seeking a Global Partner Director to lead and own Appian’s strategic relationship with a portfolio of key Regional System Integrators and Strategic Partners. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role with global accountability and a primary focus on accelerating growth across Iberia and LATAM.
This individual will serve as the owner of this partner portfolio globally, responsible for executive alignment, pipeline creation, joint solution development, and scalable go-to-market execution. This is not a transactional partner role. You will be entrusted with some of Appian’s most strategic regional partnerships, with the mandate to shape joint strategy, accelerate growth, and build a scalable, long-term business with these firms. Your impact will be visible, measurable, and critical to Appian’s success in Iberia, LATAM, and beyond.
Own and lead the global strategic relationship with assigned partners, acting as Appian’s executive partner to their senior leadership.
Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline and revenue growth, with a strong emphasis on Iberia and LATAM.
Orchestrate tight alignment between Appian’s field sales leadership and the partners' account, delivery, and executive teams.
Lead joint account planning, opportunity planning, and disciplined co-selling motions across priority accounts.
Incubate, launch, and scale joint offerings, including industry solutions, managed services, and BPO-led propositions built on Appian.
Build and scale the partners' Appian delivery capability, ensuring strong practices, certifications, and repeatable delivery excellence.
Develop and execute a multi-year GTM strategy that positions Appian as a strategic platform within each partner's portfolio.
Evangelize Appian’s value proposition within the partner organizations to build sustained executive mindshare and long-term commitment.
Serve as a trusted advisor internally, providing insight into partner strategies, operating models, and regional priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
15+ years of experience in enterprise software, strategic alliances, or GSI leadership roles.
Deep, demonstrable experience working with Iberian-based System Integrators, including a strong understanding of their organization, culture, decision-making processes, and regional dynamics.
Proven track record of building highly strategic, revenue-generating partnerships and scaling multiple partners simultaneously across regions.
Experience co-creating and commercializing joint solutions with systems integrators.
Strong understanding of Business Process Automation, enterprise platforms, and value-based solution selling.
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise environments and long sales cycles.
Exceptional Spanish and English communication skills, with executive-level presence and influence.
Highly driven, self-starting leader with a strategic mindset, strong operational discipline, and a collaborative approach.
Based in Madrid, with willingness to travel across Iberia, LATAM, and globally as required.

The Global Alliances and Channels team at Appian is a fast-paced, dynamic organization that plays an integral role in driving Appian's growth globally. We are looking for a process-driven Partner Operations Specialist to provide critical support to the global partner ecosystem. In this role, you will ensure partner submitted deal registrations comply with program requirements and Service Level Agreements. You will help bridge the gap between partners, Alliance Managers, and Field Sales to ensure deal progression, while also analyzing data to identify efficiencies and improve the partner experience.
In this role, you will:
Own the deal registration lifecycle for global partners, including deal eligibility validation, status monitoring, and escalation to ensure timely approvals, accurate CRM attribution, and program compliance.
Act as the primary conduit between the partner deal submitters, the alliance team, and field sales representatives to facilitate communication, approvals, and conversion to Stage 2 qualification.
Optimize the partner experience by reviewing existing registration processes to identify bottlenecks, reduce errors, and drive operational efficiency.
Transform data into insights by generating and analyzing deal registration reports to identify emerging trends and partner performance gaps.
Provide ad-hoc operational support for global partner initiatives, such as new partner onboarding and long-tail enablement and support.
About You:
1-3+ years in channel operations, sales operations, deal desk, or similar B2B support roles.
Demonstrated experience navigating and maintaining CRM systems, with a strong proficiency in Salesforce.
Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with global stakeholders.
A self-starter who can work independently while remaining deeply integrated within a global team across different time zones.
