Affinity is seeking a technically strong and operationally minded Assistant Controller to join our
Accounting team reporting to the Controller. We’re looking for someone who started their career
in the Big 4 and transitioned into corporate, bringing that foundation with them. Along the way,
you’ve driven process improvements, led system implementations, and never been afraid to roll
up your sleeves. You’ve also built and managed lean, high-performing teams and know what it
takes to scale people and process together. Your experience reflects where we are today as a
business, and just as importantly, where we’re headed. This role will be instrumental in owning
our technical accounting, financial reporting, and the controls infrastructure that supports a
scaling SaaS business. The Assistant Controller will take meaningful ownership of complex
accounting areas across all entities, serve as a key contributor to the monthly close process,
and partner with external auditors.

What You’ll Own

• Technical Accounting: Own US GAAP research and application across revenue
  recognition (ASC 606), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), capitalized software (ASC
  350-40), leases, and other areas as they arise.
• Close Participation: Serve as a key contributor to the monthly close process across all
  entities, with primary ownership of technical and financial reporting deliverables.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Own the preparation of monthly internal financial
  statements (income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, and statement of
  equity) and full GAAP financial statements for annual reporting.
• External Audit: Manage the external audit relationship end-to-end - PBC schedules,
  fieldwork coordination, and auditor communication. Not just support; ownership.
• Equity Administration: Administer the equity program via Carta, including option
  grants, exercises, modifications, ISO/NSO tracking, and ASC 718 expense.
• Internal Controls & Policy: Design, establish, and maintain the internal controls
  framework and accounting policy documentation as the company scales.
• Systems & Process: Work across NetSuite, FloQast, Ramp, Rippling, Carta, and
  MonetizeNow to improve how we operate, not just to keep the lights on.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) plus industry, or a longer industry
  track record with strong technical depth.
• CPA required.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with ASC 606, ASC 718, and ASC 350-40 in a
  SaaS environment - not just exposure, real ownership.
• Experience managing an audit cycle end-to-end, not just supporting one.
  Multi-entity and multi-currency close experience.
• NetSuite proficiency; comfortable improving systems, not just using them.
• Strong written communication - you’ll be authoring technical memos, policies, and
  communications for auditors and leadership.

Nice to Have

• Equity administration experience, ideally in Carta.
• Experience with FloQast or similar close management tools.
• Background in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.

Affinity is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our Finance team reporting to the VP of FP&A. This role will be instrumental in driving financial discipline, strategic decision-making, and performance visibility across the organization. The FP&A Manager will own the planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, providing executive leadership and department heads with the insights needed to manage growth, optimize spending, and allocate resources effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of SaaS metrics, a proactive approach to financial modeling, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable business strategies.

Location: New York or San Francisco

For this role we're embracing a hub-hybrid model, designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person collaboration. Team members within commuting distance are expected in-office 2–3 days per week, typically Tuesday through Thursday. What You'll Own

• Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead and manage the annual planning process, long-range plan, and rolling forecast processes. Ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
• SaaS Metric Analysis & Reporting: Develop, track, and report on key SaaS financial and operational metrics (e.g., ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, gross margin) to provide leadership with a clear view of business health and performance.
• Budgeting & Departmental Partnership: Own the detailed operating expense budgeting process. Partner closely with department heads to manage their budgets, understand variance drivers, and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
• Financial Modeling & Deep Dives: Design, maintain, and continuously improve complex financial models (e.g. capacity planning, scenario analysis) to support decision-making.
• Board & Investor Reporting: Prepare and present high-quality financial reports, analysis, and materials for the Board of Directors, executive team, and potential investors.
• Process & System Improvement: Drive improvements in the planning, forecasting, and reporting infrastructure, leveraging financial planning systems (e.g., Pigment) to increase efficiency and accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, and/or a fast-paced environments like Investment Banking, PE/VC, or Consulting. 
• Expertise in SaaS financial and operational metrics (ARR, LTV:CAC, Churn, Gross Margin analysis, etc.). 
• Advanced financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; ability to build complex, driver-based models from scratch.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders, department heads, and executive leadership.
• Strong business partnership orientation and the ability to influence decisions and drive accountability across the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Pigment, or other forms of financial planning software.
• Previous experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.

• Support a timely, accurate, and reliable global month-end close, including preparing journal entries, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations (cash, prepaid, accruals, and fixed assets).
• Own the procure-to-pay cycle end-to-end — including purchase orders, accounts payable, corporate credit cards, and employee expense reimbursements.
• Support close optimization initiatives and contribute ideas for process improvement.
• Assist with variance analysis and analytical review of financial statements.
• Help establish, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Assist with the year-end audit and regulatory filings. Partner with external tax accountants to support tax filings.
• Be open to assuming expanded responsibilities as the company grows and your skillset develops.

Required:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (ADE), or equivalent university-level education
• 2–4 years of experience in general ledger or transactional accounting (internship or prácticas experience welcome)
• Foundational understanding of IFRS, prior exposure to US GAAP a plus, with willingness to learn US GAAP reporting requirements
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, basic formulas)
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Business-level English required
• Curiosity and willingness to develop accounting research and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy

Preferred:

• Actively pursuing ACCA or equivalent international accounting qualification
• Experience working in a multi-national or US-headquartered company
• Familiarity with NetSuite
• Exposure to Ramp or similar spend management platforms
• SaaS or tech industry experience
