About the Opportunity

• Create and maintain student files in accordance with state laws and regulations 

• Track receipt of student records and follow up with prior schools to obtain any missing documents

• Receive incoming student records and add to student files

• Receive requests for records for withdrawn students and prepare and send student files

• Upon receipt of records enter any needed student information into the Student Information System (SIS)

• Act as point of contact for all requests for student information from schools and county agencies, and collaborate with administrative team to prepare any information needed to respond to such requests

• Ensure completion of withdraw forms

• Process student withdraws daily in the school Student Information System (SIS)

• Track new enrollment approvals and inform school stakeholders of student start dates

• Establish and maintain a positive rapport with, students, parents, staff, school administration, and other stakeholders

• Maintain confidentiality concerning all student information and any professional matters

• Utilize effective time management

• Answer phones and assist in all aspects of maintaining a professional office, including but not limited to fielding and directing incoming calls, filing, copying, faxing, etc.

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred

• Previous outstanding school-related customer service experience required

• Complete all necessary paperwork within timelines to be compliant 
• Complete progress reports as required 
• Complete all components of all paperwork 
• Work 1:1, in small groups or in whole class sessions with students 
• Administer Transition Assessments

• Collaborate with parents, teachers, psychologists, parents, Administrator, and professionals outside of school

About You 

• Masters’ Degree preferred 
• Current State certification/licensure in appropriate area 
• Three years of teaching experience, at least 2 of which are in special education preferred 
• Strong content knowledge in one or more content areas 
• Familiarity with state proficiency testing state teaching standards 
• Understanding of and/or willingness to learn the MTSS process 
• Prior experience working with a diverse student body

About the Team

Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oklahoma is a tuition-free online public charter school serving students in grades K–12 statewide. Students learn in live classes with certified teachers and can explore aerospace and STEM pathways including aviation, robotics, and engineering.

Working in cooperation with appropriate district supervisors, teachers, parents and students, shall be responsible for providing diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language and hearing disorders helping students to adjust and access the general education curriculum.

About the Opportunity

• Provide high quality virtual speech-language therapy services to a wide variety of students in grades K-12
• Conduct standard and non-standardized assessments, analyze results and write reports to determine strengths and concerns in the areas of motor speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, literacy, and dysphagia
• Develop treatment plans that are strength based as well as child and family centered
• Ensure that IEP, ETR and progress monitoring procedures adhere to the district, state and federal guidelines
• Collect ongoing daily data and adapt treatment accordingly based on trends in student performance 
• Attend IEP and ETR meetings and provide necessary documentation for team to review in a timely manner 
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and all other members of a student’s educational team
• Act as case manager for students with a Speech and Language disability determination
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Common Core Standards; aligning them with treatment objectives
• Guide teachers, primary care providers and all other educational team members in the implementation of facilitating classroom strategies to ensure skill generalization and in how to identify students who may require a referral for a speech and language evaluation
• Develop, follow and communicate to building leaders and department supervisors, a daily schedule
• Conduct hearing screenings and have the ability to interpret the results to make appropriate referrals 
• Attend monthly staff meetings and pursue professional development in maintenance of state board licensure and for addressing student and caseload needs

The Success Coach manages the delivery and implementation of core interventions and services for assigned students in accordance with Student Services initiatives and guidelines. This role serves as the primary contact for new families and provides oversight of educational interventions and career learning supports to assist with increased engagement, student learning outcomes, and successful completion of school.

• Support new and returning students and families through the onboarding process and completion of required tasks
• Review transcripts and offer guidance to students and families on class selections in order to support career advising, create a schedule, and confirm grade level placement
• Ongoing course planning and academic support as required
• Serve as the primary point of contact for school administration in developing plans to address barriers to full achievement of attendance, academic, and behavioral goals
• Facilitate Advisory sessions and implementation of a Life Skills curriculum
• Responsible for tracking and reporting data as directed by supervisor
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and other school staff to ascertain students’ academic needs and create an academic remediation plan and provide support towards completion of plan
• Work with overage students and develop plan to help get back on track for graduation in coordination with teachers

About the Team

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oklahoma is a K-12 tuition-free online public school in the state of Oklahoma. At VPA Oklahoma, we empower students to be their best by enabling them to learn in ways that are right for them – using innovative technology at home, at their proper level, and at their own pace.

We are seeking teachers who are excited to create a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.  ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods. Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events.

The Virtual Special Education Teacher supports the educational and behavioral goals of all students with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Program.

About the Opportunity

• Assist with the implementation of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for each student served
• Write IEPs in a timely manner
• Participate in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
• Maintain all student records and files according to federal, state and local mandates.
• Complete all necessary paperwork within timelines to be compliant,
• Complete progress reports as required
• Complete all components of all paperwork
• Work 1:1, in small groups or in whole class sessions with students
• Administer Transition Assessments
• Write lessons plans to accommodate goals in the student’s IEP
• Teach all subjects following the school’s course of study or as assigned
• Schedule and participate in IEP and other meetings for students with disabilities
• Prepare and administer all standardized tests, benchmark assessments and evaluation assessments as directed
• Work with the teaching staff to improve standardized and proficiency testing results
• Maintain confidentiality concerning all student information and any professional matters
• Keep accurate records on each student such as grade books and progress reports, lesson plans, attendance records, and behavior/discipline records
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, psychologists, parents, Administrator, and professionals outside of school
• Work with Related Services to keep evaluations current, updated every three years
• Provide resources for classroom teachers for areas of disability
• Attend, participate in and/or chaperone school activities such as faculty meetings (before or after school hours), open houses, commencement exercises, student activities
• Attend professional developments as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

About You

• Masters’ Degree Preferred 
• Required three years of teaching experience, at least 2 of which are in special education
• Current Oklahoma certification/licensure in appropriate area
• Strong content knowledge in one or more content areas
• Familiarity with state proficiency testing state teaching standards
• Understanding of and/or willingness to learn the MTSS process
• Prior experience working with a diverse student body
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that reflect professionalism and tact at all times
• Genuine care for children and a passion for teaching
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Google Docs, MS Office Suite, e-mail, and internet applications
• Prior experience with software and databases used to maintain Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) compliance including Power School Special Programs
• Ability to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team members
• Strong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret student data to make sound educational decisions
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentiality
• Ability to and willingness to work occasional evenings
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform occasional local and in-state travel
• Ability to pass federal, state and local background checks
• Knowledge of co-teaching models and the ability to co-teach

About the Team

The Operations Coordinator at Virtual Prep Academy of Oklahoma assumes the duties of: Registrar, Testing Manager, Office Administrator, Attendance and Truancy Coordinator and collaborates with all members of the leadership team to design and implement process and procedures across all aspect of daily school operations for a state-wide online school, in compliance with all sponsor and board of education regulations and state laws.

Eligibility: Open to residents of Oklahoma

Some days in office (Oklahoma City) will be required.

About the Opportunity

• Overseeing the following school functions: student records, local and state testing, attendance and truancy tracking and follow-up, office and facilities management
• Act as a resource for internal (staff) and external (students and families) stakeholders by providing resolution and management of escalated needs across a variety of topics (school procedures, technology systems, materials, etc.)
• Act as a liaison between school team members and members of the larger Accel team to identify operational needs and develop school level procedures that align with the goals and procedures of the larger Accel organization
• Serve as a member of the school leadership team
• Work collaboratively with other school administrators to develop, document, and electronically archive operational procedures and workflows to support implementation of school policies
• Audit current procedures and identify opportunities to streamline and improve
• Stay up to date on department of education and sponsor policies and compliance items and state educational laws
• Manage all student information per state and federal law
• Coordinates communication with external vendors as needed
• Performs all other job duties as assigned

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master's Degree preferred
• 5-7 years of experience in Operations Management preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products
• Strong spreadsheet skills including the ability to use basic and intermediate formulas and functions
• Prior experience working in a school setting preferred
• Prior experience managing law and regulation compliance
• Prior experience creating and documenting procedures and workflows
