Ivanti is looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team in the US (East Coast) in a remote role. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing sytems and establishing patterns that can be leveraged by multiple SaaS product lines to build, deploy and monitor their applications.

We are articulrly focussed on our SaaS products. We are looking for skilled individuals to help our engineering teams move fast whilst ensuring our releases are stable and free from exploits.

What you’ll do

Reporting directly to the head of DevOps you'll work with the greater DevOps teams to establish best practices and patterns that can be leveraged by multiple products as part of the SDLC.

Working across products your skills will be leveraged to address the most pressing concerns in each of the products. Our goal is to achieve a level of consistency across the products and where practical allow engineers to self-serve with whatever they need to deliver their solution to the cloud.

We already have some consistency across the products and agreements in place with software vendors. It would be advantagous to have experience in our following technologies.

• Terraform: We use terraform to define all of the infrastructure our products need to operate correcty in the cloud. We also use terraform for state based deployments and we've found this very helpful for our versioned products.
• Azure: The majority of our cloud applications run on Azure and we often leverage services from the catalog
• Kubernetes / Containers: We use Containers / Kubernetes for hosting most of our workloads and also as a strategy to allow build and test at scale. Understanding ingress, namespaces, volumes and abstractions such as AKS / EKS is a must for this role.
• GitHub Actions / ADO Pipelines: We have a large number of pipelines running on ADO. We're looking to keep these and consilidate others into GitHub Actions as we look to leave behind Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.
• New Relic: We currently monitor all of deployments using New Relic leveraging APMs and other features to assert / alert performance and function.

As this is a leading technical role you'll be expected to not only implement best of breed solutions but also to spread the use of these and facilitate others to follow in your footsteps.

• Work with the head of DevOps to help devlop and implement the DevOps strategy
• Build tooling that helps us automate and comply with security requirements / certifications
• Follow industry best practice and Ivanti guidelines to standardise implementation
• Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards of our builds / deployments
• Identify bottlenecks in our processes and write up projects to improve these
• Play a leading role in discussions / code review so the wider team “levels up” together

What you’ll do:

• Lead the execution of multiple functions: Taking ownership of and creating awareness around security-relevant key performance and key risk indicators
• Develop automation for data gathering, analysis and presentation using Python and Go
• Educate as well as inform audiences of a wide variety of security and risk expertise, including building libraries of material to support understanding of benefits and costs of security management.
• Generating insights and supporting information for decisions to be made including wrangling data from complex data sets and data sources
• Create dynamic dashboards and presentations
• Articulate risk and risk management as realistic, measurable harm; Create dynamic dashboards and presentations
• Support the Security Governance and executive workstreams, including analysis and presentations materials.
• Coordinate, chair and present data to management, leadership and C-suite stakeholders in their languages.

What you will bring:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in information systems or data analytics.
• 4 + years’ experience with Python automation with multiple versions of Python
• 2+ years Go programming (Golang) automation and scripting
• 1+ years dashboard building or data analytics experience
• 1+ years experience with 1 or more of the following security items: SOC, SIEM (Security Information & Event Management), Application Security (AppSec), or vulnerabilities and incident management, cyber security or threat related data.
• Experience with Risk Management or experience with threat  and cyber security related data
• Understanding of Risk Modeling
• 4+ years Data Analytics experience
• Familiarity with information security and security terms
• Experience conducting reporting operations such as presentations, metrics, dashboards, KPIs, KRIs, OKRs.
• Can show evidence has created effective KPIs, KRIs and OKRs and a means to measure and report each.
• Ability to articulate themes from: NIST, ISO, SOC 2, FedRAMP,  GDPR and DORA, and  Security, Privacy principles.
• Experience with information application security, system security and cybersecurity.
• Ability to work with FedRAMP data without the need for immigration support.
