Unto Labs is building Thru, a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain. As we approach our mainnet launch, we’re looking to share our story with the world and we need a writer to help us do it right.

About the Role

We’re seeking a crypto-native Writer/Editorial Staff to help shape the voice of Unto Labs. You’ll sit with founders and engineers, absorb the technical and strategic thinking that defines our direction, and craft clear, insightful, and compelling long-form content to deepen the public's understanding of Thru and Unto Labs. Your work will help shape how the outside world understands the ideas and innovations at the heart of Thru.

This is not a generalist marketing role, nor a BD/slide-deck role. This is a writing-first, editorial seat where you’ll own the words that define us. In this role you will curate, distill, and narrate the deep technical and commercial work we do at Unto Labs.

Responsibilities

• Pitch and refine 8-10 story ideas per week; prioritized with leadership

• Interview team members and external experts to gather insight and perspective on relevant topics

• Write and publish original long-form content on a weekly / bi-weekly cadence

• Manage and maintain publishing on Substack, X/Twitter and other relevant channels

• Maintain a living editorial calendar

• Develop explainer content (onboarding, how-to guides, network overviews)

• Author strategy and narrative-focused pieces (architecture decisions, market structure, tokenized products)

• Produce applied research and long-form analysis on blockchain/DeFi topics

• Facilitate light distribution/coordination with external contributors for broader reach

What We’re Looking For

• Significant solo long-form writing experience and the ability to ship quality work end-to-end, independently

• Proven ability to interview technical/founder-level sources and synthesize multiple viewpoints along deeply technical topics

• Clear and direct writing style that is able to make complex blockchain/DeFi concepts approachable without oversimplifying

• Strong interest and knowledge in crypto, derivatives/options, tokenized assets, market structure, and emerging blockchain applications

• Self-directed research and editorial process

• Proactive about developing outlines, securing alignment, and gathering sources

• Passion for the crypto/blockchain ecosystem and the opportunity to shape its narrative

Working Relationship

• Work closely with Co-Founders and company leadership

• Full-time, remote-friendly role; location-flexible; open to part-time

Not in Scope

• No generic UGC/influencer/podcast mill marketing

• Not managing a large content team or creating slide decks

• No paid content/influencer campaigns
