Work Arrangement:
- Work will take place across multiple SEO program locations, including LIU, Baruch College, and the SEO office located at 55 Exchange Place, NY, 10005. The assigned work location will vary based on program needs.
Hours:
- Up to 60 hours per month. This role does not have a set weekly schedule; hours will vary based on programming and organizational needs and may include weekday and Saturday assignments. Flexibility to work across assigned locations and schedules is required.

POSITION OVERVIEW
SEO is seeking an experienced Videographer to support the Curriculum & Instruction team in developing high-quality video content for academic curriculum and instructional materials. The Videographer will partner closely with curriculum team members to conceptualize, film, edit, and produce engaging video content that enhances the learning experience for students and instructors.
Video content will primarily be incorporated into lesson materials and delivered through SEO’s learning management system, Brightspace. The ideal contractor brings strong technical video production and editing expertise, creative judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept through final delivery.
Video Production and Editing
- Create video content for the curriculum and instruction team’s lesson materials accessed via the learning management system Brightspace (LMS).
- Collaborate with curriculum developers to develop original, thematic, and appropriate concepts and scripts for video projects for our academic curriculum.
- Input sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and adding voice over.
- Digitally splice videos and synchronize them into one rough cut.
- Position requires some face-to-face personal interaction with curriculum team members. ∙ Ensure accessibility of video content (captions, alt text, etc).
- Oversee the quality control of all aspects of production.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and project workflows to ensure projects are delivered on time and quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED RESOURCES
The contractor is responsible for supplying, maintaining, and operating the equipment and tools necessary to perform the scope of work, including, as applicable:
- Professional-quality camera and videography equipment
- Audio recording equipment
- Lighting equipment
- Video editing hardware and software
- Other production tools necessary to complete assigned projects
SEO will provide access to relevant cloud-based systems, Brightspace, internal resources, and proprietary materials necessary to complete assigned work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated professional experience in videography, video production, editing, or a closely related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience producing and editing polished video content.
- Proficiency with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable platforms.
- Experience operating professional video, lighting, and audio equipment.

- Technical Expertise: Strong command of video production, filming, audio, lighting, and post-production techniques.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, production schedules, and revision cycles.
- Attention to Detail: Consistently produces accurate, polished, and high-quality final content.
- Collaboration: Works effectively with curriculum developers and other stakeholders throughout the production process.
- Communication: Clearly communicates production needs, recommendations, timelines, and project updates.
- Adaptability: Comfortable adjusting creative approaches and deliverables based on feedback, project needs, and changing priorities.
- Ownership: Demonstrates accountability for projects from initial concept through final delivery.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The compensation listed in this posting reflects what SEO believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and SEO reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
