Job Description:
Job Duck is seeking a detail‑oriented and empathetic Legal Assistant to support a busy family law practice by managing essential administrative and intake operations. In this role, you will serve as a key support partner, handling front‑office coordination, client communications, and case organization that allow the attorney to focus on legal work. You will interact directly with clients, many of whom are navigating sensitive personal matters, requiring professionalism, emotional intelligence, and clear communication at all times. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, self‑motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks while knowing when to seek guidance. If you thrive in structured environments, value accuracy, and enjoy contributing to meaningful client outcomes, this role offers both stability and purpose.
• Compensation Range: 1150 USD to 1220 USD
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Handle incoming and outgoing calls, appointments, and front‑office operations
Perform daily administrative and online‑based tasks
Complete intake coordinator duties and collect client information
Draft basic legal documents
Perform e‑filings accurately and on time
Track billable hours to support case management
Manage and track cases within the firm systems
Follow up consistently with clients regarding case matters
Communicate professionally with the attorney and align with established processes
Requirements:
• Working hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
• Role aligned with the EST time zone and Florida‑based operations
• Spanish is mandatory due to a predominantly Spanish‑speaking client base
• Prior law firm experience is required
• Position supports a family law practice handling sensitive and emotional matters
• Direct collaboration with the attorney, who reviews work and provides feedback
