About the Role
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop innovative software solutions that power KLA's advanced semiconductor process control systems. You will gain hands-on experience building scalable applications, enhancing user experiences, analyzing data, and contributing to software that supports cutting-edge technologies.
Interns are treated as valuable members of the team and are given ownership of meaningful projects that address real-world engineering challenges.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and tools.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, applications, and systems engineering teams.
- Build and enhance user interface components using modern software development frameworks.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
- Support performance optimization and scalability improvements.
- Work with large datasets and develop data-driven solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile development activities.
- Present project outcomes and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Data Science
- Or a related technical discipline
- Strong programming skills in one or more of the following:
- C++
- Java
- C#
- JavaScript/TypeScript
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with software development tools such as Git and debugging environments.
- Experience with databases, cloud technologies, or machine learning is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
