The Role
The Senior HR Generalist is a trusted resource on the People Operations team, owning day-to-day HR operations such as; employee data, benefits and leave support, compliance reporting, and lifecycle initiatives from onboarding to offboarding. This person serves as a go-to point of contact for employees navigating People programs, while partnering with stakeholders on the People team as well as the Finance team to resolve issues and improve processes. We're looking for someone who thrives on ownership, brings strong judgment to ambiguous situations, and is energized by building better processes.
Location: Candidates must permanently and currently reside in Lincoln, Nebraska or the surrounding metro area. Employees are expected to work 2-3 days per week in our HQ office.
What You'll Do
- Own employee data integrity across People systems through regular audits, issue resolution, and ongoing maintenance
- Manage the HR Ticketing Tool and related Slack channels, serving as the primary point of contact for employee questions and support
- Administer the background check program for new hire onboarding process and ensuring accurate and timely set up for every new employee
- Coordinate employee offboarding, ensuring documentation, communications, and system workflows are completed accurately and on time
- Support day-to-day benefits, leave, and perks administration, escalating complex matters to the Benefits Program Manager as needed
- Partner with HR Business Partners and the Accounting team to surface process gaps and support workforce and organizational change execution
- Maintain compliance across cadenced HR reporting (EEO, BLS, AEIS, and more) and manage the HR compliance calendar
- Lead the Employee Handbook introduction session for new hires and keep handbook content current through proactive audits

- Delivering a consistent, reliable People Ops experience so employees always know where to turn for support
- Keeping our HR data, compliance reporting, and documentation accurate and audit-ready
- Making offboarding seamless and closing the loop with departing employees
- Strengthening processes and systems that free up the broader People team to focus on strategic priorities
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years of experience in a Human Resources related field
- Strong working knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, state-specific regulations)
- Experience facilitating processes through the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, performance management, off-boarding preferred
- Ability to manage tasks and projects with minimal guidance, escalating higher-risk decisions appropriately
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to audience and resolve misunderstandings independently
- Experience in Enterprise level Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Comfort experimenting with AI tools and workflows to solve role-specific problems
- Additional relevant certification (SHRM, PHR) preferred but not required
- Ability to uphold strict confidentiality of employee information
Benefits & Compensation
This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $80,000-$85,000 per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
