Job Description Summary
Join our team as a Service Writer! In this role, you'll support daily service operations by managing work orders, processing warranty claims, coordinating parts, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Open, update, and close work orders accurately
- Process and track warranty claims
- Order, receive, and distribute parts
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts
- Enter and manage service calls
- Coordinate with technicians and support field service scheduling
- Process service invoices and maintain equipment records
- Prepare damage reports and related documentation
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues
- Communicate service updates, bulletins, and customer concerns
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient with computers and data entry
Preferred
- Service Writer, Service Coordinator, or related experience
- Experience with work orders, warranty claims, or parts inventory
- Equipment rental, construction, automotive, or heavy equipment industry experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk throughout the day
- Occasional exposure to outdoor or shop environments
