Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide support service(s) to business(es) in various administrative areas (including complex administrative tasks and internal & external communication) to the relevant business(es) to meet current needs, identify performance gaps, and address emerging requirements. Engages internal customers and drives efficient support services.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Service in South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Administration

• Assists a business/business manager in all business-relevant administration tasks, such as conducting research, compiling, verifying the information, and creating special reports, presentations, organization charts, correspondence, and other relevant documents.

• Responsible for different communication tasks within their own area of responsibility, ensuring sharing of knowledge and information to keep others informed and up to date.

• Implements ABB processes and initiates continuous improvement of administrative processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

• Acts as the point of contact for internal/external inquiries via phone and email, assesses the urgency of issues, and initiates appropriate action.

Communication

• Implements communications programs and messages including editorial and visual communications to educate and inform key stakeholders including e.g. shareholders, management, employees, business and financial media and interest groups.

• Ensures executional excellence for all communications measures, across their area of responsibility, in line with brand positioning, corporate identity/design guidelines, and global communications framework.

• Builds a strong network across the ABB corporate communications community to ensure alignment across the organization and transfer of best practices.

• Recommends and contributes to cross-business communications projects.

• Advises on communications programs, tools and channels to maximize cost efficiency and minimize overlap among businesses.

• Implements agreed communications plan by applying all effective media and supervises/manages production and supplier relations.

• Supports the key management stakeholders with personal communications materials including presentations, speeches, and articles.

Qualifications for the role

• You are highly skilled in various administrative areas supporting senior business manager

• Ability to demonstrate your experience in developing and implementing corporate communication plan.

• You have minimum 3-4 years of experience in General admin and communication

• Possess an enhanced knowledge of C.A.L media tool.

• You are passionate about publishing corporate activities on various social media platforms

• Degree in BCOM Business Management

• You are at ease communicating in English
