SUMMARY

Our Senior Revenue Accountant in India will help with complex deferred revenue accounting and other US specific month end accounting functions.  We seek a team player who excels at complex revenue accounting; who is innovative, detailed, and accurate in their work; and who is interested in tackling the complex work found in a cybersecurity/technology firm.

Responsibilities

• Primary accounting duties will focus heavily on month end close responsibilities for all global ProSOC revenue and COGS, License & Subscriptions revenue and COGS, and other revenue and COGS.  This work will include complex deferred revenue calculations and bifurcation of revenue and costs across multiple service offerings.  Experience accounting for deferred revenue in a SaaS based company with intimate knowledge of ASC606 is required
• Additional work could be assigned in both the GL accounting and the financial analysis areas as the Senior Revenue Accountant provides critical accounting support to our global enterprise.
• This role could help determine accounting treatment and classification for accounts such as Leave/PTO balances, benefits, and complex revenue streams.  We seek a problem solver who can help move accounting work along when the US team is off shift!
• The Senior Revenue Accountant will back up our Senior Accountant in India regarding processing of our commission payment plan, which is complex and varies across multiple sales roles. 
• This work requires close contact with AR regarding contract interpretation, billing, and revenue collection.
• Ensure security, availability, and confidentiality of all sensitive data collected, processed, or stored by this position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or Master’s degree a strong plus
• 2+ years deferred revenue work with a SAAS based firm including ASC606 expertise
• 5+ years international accounting experience including work with multiple currencies and international accounting regulations
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to work across multiple time zone and cultures; advanced problem solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and graphical representations and strong ERP system experience including configuration work (ours is NetSuite)
• Ability to create what we haven’t seen or done.  As we rapidly grow around the globe, the ability to see problems before they arise and create solutions that are innovative and new will be critical in this role!
