About the role
We are looking for a rigorous Senior PPC Manager to own paid search for one of our core D2C subscription products. The funnel is simple: ad → quiz → trial → subscription. The scale is: ~200 countries, 30+ languages, hundreds of Search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
You will be measured on two numbers: daily conversions and cohort ROI — not clicks, not traffic.
You'll operate with serious leverage: an API-driven build pipeline and AI tooling handle the mechanical work. Your job is judgment — what to scale, what to cut, where the next dollar goes. The bar is high and so is the upside: performance here is directly and significantly rewarded, and strong operators take on bigger scope fast.
Key Responsibilities
Own the account
Own account architecture, campaign structure, and naming conventions across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising
Develop and maintain SOPs for keyword management, bid strategy, and performance review cycles
Own the keyword universe
Full ownership of segmentation, match-type logic, negative build-out, and ongoing expansion
Systematically identify and test new keyword opportunities using search term data, auction insights, and competitor signals
Keep keyword health at scale: regular audits, quality score monitoring, search query analysis
Manage budgets like a CFO
Manage monthly budgets with direct accountability for CPA and ROAS
Define and execute A/B testing roadmaps across ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies
Partner with the analytics team to track funnel performance and attribute revenue accurately
Report and improve
Build and maintain dashboards and performance reports for paid search KPIs
Surface insights and recommend structural or strategic changes backed by data
Stay current on platform updates and evaluate their impact on account strategy
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience
3+ years managing paid search campaigns on Google Ads
Personally owned budgets of $500K+/month with direct accountability for CPA / ROAS targets
Built and maintained keyword systems at scale — segmentation, expansion frameworks, and negative structures across tens of thousands of keywords
Hands-on experience with Smart Bidding, Performance Max, and manual bidding strategies
Uses AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) actively in daily workflow — data analysis, automation, copy generation and testing — not just aware of them
Has built processes from scratch: SOPs, review cycles, and quality systems that run without you
Working proficiency in English (B2+)
Nice to have
Microsoft Advertising (Bing) experience
Background in web products or mobile apps; subscription (D2C) is a strong plus
Who You Are
Fast, sharp thinker — you separate signal from noise and instantly see which number in a report actually matters
Analytical — every decision is backed by a period, a threshold, and a dollar amount
Full owner of your zone — from diagnosis to result, no reminders needed
Ambitious — you want to grow fast and prove it with performance
Location
Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.
