Sobre esta vaga de Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting na Pilot.com
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to lead the company’s revenue accounting function for a rapidly growing Series C SaaS organization.
This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, scalable, and controlled revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, while developing best-in-class revenue processes, policies, controls, systems, and reporting.
The Senior Revenue Manager will own the end-to-end revenue life cycle, including contract review, Zuora billing, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, SSP analysis, month-end close, reconciliations, revenue reporting, and cash-related processes.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with hands-on SaaS systems experience and understands how to connect SalesForce (SFDC), Zuora. NetSuite/Quickbooks, FloaQast/Blackline, and Avalara into a scalable and controlled Order-to-Cash (O2C) environment.
Location: San Francisco, CA (3 days/week in office—Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). #LI-Hybrid
What You'll Do
- Own the Order-to-Cash process: partner with Sales, Deal Desk, RevOps, Legal, Billing, AR, FP&A, and IT to ensure deals are structured correctly, controls exist at each stage, and revenue leakage or billing errors are caught early
- Serve as the accounting SME for Salesforce and Zuora — establishing controls, resolving discrepancies between SFDC/Zuora/ERP, and ensuring billing and revenue configuration is accurate
- Own monthly revenue close: journal entries, deferred revenue and contract asset/liability reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting to the Controller, CFO, and FP&A
- Own SSP methodology and documentation under ASC 606, and prepare technical accounting memos for complex or non-standard revenue transactions
- Drive automation and system improvements across the SFDC → Zuora → ERP → Revenue → Cash pipeline, reducing manual reconciliations and spreadsheet dependency
- Build and maintain internal controls for revenue and O2C processes; support the annual audit and SOX readiness
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- 6+ years of progressive revenue/technical accounting experience, including leading a SaaS revenue function
- 3+ years of Big 4 experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606, SaaS subscription revenue models, and close/controls management
- Hands-on experience with Zuora and Salesforce; familiarity with NetSuite/QuickBooks and FloQast/BlackLine
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and clear communication with senior stakeholders
