Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
Revolution Medicines is seeking an experienced in vivo research and laboratory operations professional with a strong background in rodent oncology models and vivarium operations. This senior-level position will independently lead the planning and execution of complex in vivo pharmacology studies in mice, provide day-to-day scientific and operational leadership for research associates, and serve as a key partner to scientists and cross-functional project teams. The role will help ensure consistent, high-quality study execution and support the continued growth and operational excellence of the vivarium. This position will also provide management oversight for weekend and holiday animal operations and serve as an escalation point for study, facility, and animal welfare issues.

Independently plan, coordinate, conduct, analyze, and report complex in vivo pharmacology studies, including efficacy and PK/PD studies.

Manage, supervise, train, and develop research associates; delegate work, establish expectations, provide feedback, and ensure consistent technical performance.

Coordinate study staffing, scheduling, and resources across concurrent studies to ensure timely execution while maintaining animal welfare and data quality.

Provide oversight of weekend and holiday animal operations and serve as an escalation point for unexpected study, animal welfare, staffing, or facility issues.

Drive continuous improvement of vivarium workflows and SOPs; identify operational risks and implement practical solutions that improve consistency, efficiency, and study quality.

Ensure appropriate SOPs, animal welfare guidelines, IACUC requirements, and applicable regulations are followed by vivarium users.

Troubleshoot complex in vivo procedures, study execution issues, and facility or animal welfare concerns; communicate issues and recommended actions to appropriate stakeholders. Provide technical guidance on feasibility and execution of in vivo studies.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:

BS or MS in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline with approximately 8+ years of relevant in vivo research experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex in vivo pharmacology studies from planning and resource coordination through execution, analysis, and reporting.

Advanced proficiency with mouse handling techniques including dosing (IV, PO, SC, IP), tumor inoculation and measurements, in-life and terminal blood collection, survival surgeries, necropsy, and tissue processing for ex vivo analysis.

Significant research experience with mouse models of cancer.

Demonstrated experience supervising, training, or leading research associates and coordinating work across multiple team members.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to provide clear operational guidance and work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound day-to-day decisions, and take ownership of research and operational goals.

Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with Studylog, Prism, and Benchling.

Rodent surgical experience, including orthotopic tumor models.

Sterile tissue culture experience.

Familiarity with sample collection and processing for IHC and cellular/molecular biology assays such as FACS, western blot, and qPCR.
The base pay salary range for this full-time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is listed below.
