Jasmax is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Technician to join our Ōtautahi, Christchurch studio.

Jasmax is a multi-award-winning architecture and design practice with studios across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. With over 250 team members, Jasmax offers multi-disciplinary expertise and integrated design solutions across architecture, interior design, urban design and landscape architecture.   

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior architectural technician to join our Ōtautahi, Christchurch studio and play a key role in delivering complex research laboratory, healthcare, and technical facilities.

While health and science projects are the main priority, the opportunity to work in other sectors, such as commercial, civil and community, adds variety and supports your ongoing professional development. 

In this role, you will champion the delivery of best-practice technical design, including BIM modelling, documentation planning, detailing, documentation management, coordination, and construction site observation.

You’ll be supported by other experienced architectural technicians and architects within the immediate team and the wider Jasmax community.

What you bring:

• You are a qualified architectural technician with experience in healthcare, research laboratory, pharmaceutical or other highly serviced technical facilities.
• You have a strong understanding of laboratory planning principles, containment requirements, specialist equipment integration and technical compliance considerations.
• You can resolve technical challenges and enjoy solving complex problems.
• You take a collaborative, team approach to projects.
• You have experience in Construction Observation duties, and work collaboratively with contractors.
• You have advanced Revit skills.
