Role overview

Remote Recruitment is looking for a remote Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a UK-based employer from South Africa. You'll run the purchase ledger end to end and keep supplier relationships in good shape. This is a fully remote role working 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and match them to purchase orders
• Prepare and run weekly payment runs for approval
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
• Manage the AP inbox and respond to suppliers professionally
• Support month-end close with accruals and reporting

What you'll need

• Several years of accounts payable or purchase ledger experience
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with high invoice volumes
• Clear written and spoken English
• A reliable home internet connection and quiet workspace
