Job Overview:  

ABC Legal Services is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team on a 6-month, fully hybrid contract basis. This role will work closely with the Senior Accountant for M&A to support the accounting integration of newly acquired businesses, helping transition acquired companies' processes, records, and reporting into ABC Legal's financials and accounts

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Senior Accountant for M&A to take on the accounting for existing acquired businesses.
• Help transition processes and work from acquired companies into ABC Legal's financials and accounts.
• Post monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger (GL) account reconciliations; track specific costs and efficiencies; and assist the GL team and management with reporting requests.
• Assist the team with year-end duties, including 1099 preparation and filings for acquired contractors.
• Research and prepare supporting documentation for audits.
• Provide ad hoc assistance with acquisition needs, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) in acquired company books.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (though not required with relevant experience).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and general ledger functions.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Hybrid Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
