Securities Operations Specialist
Responsibilities
Trade Settlement & Processing
- Process and settle trade transactions (equities, fixed income, derivatives, funds) in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor and resolve trade settlement failures and discrepancies
- Ensure all trades are matched, confirmed, and settled within the settlement deadlines
- Coordinate with brokers, custodians, clearing houses, and counterparties on settlement matters
- Perform daily reconciliation of Trades, positions, and transactions across internal systems and external custodians/depositories
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and breaks in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of reconciliation items and escalate unresolved issues
Asset Servicing
- Process corporate action events including dividends, interest payments, stock splits, mergers, rights issues, and tender offers, etc…
- Ensure accurate and timely notification, election, and processing of corporate action events
- Reconcile corporate action entitlements with custodians and fund accountants
- Process Asset transfer requests and ensure that asset transfer transactions are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
- Respond to inquiries and provide operational support to internal and external stakeholders
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain proper documentation for all transactions and operational processes
- Adhere to internal controls, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Internal policies
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and information
- Generate regulatory and management reports as required
System & Process Management
- Perform daily operations and monitoring in clearing and settlement systems
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimizations
- Participate in the new product and system launches, UAT testing
- Familiar with AI Agents and workplace\office automation tools
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- 2 years of experience in Securities operations, trade settlements, or a related financial operations role
- Experience with equity, fixed income, and/or derivatives operations preferred
- Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with local and international settlement systems and market practices
- Strong Knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlement cycles (T+1, T+2), and clearing processes
- Knowledge of Asset Servicing functions - corporate actions processing, Asset transfer processing, etc…
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player with a proactive and responsible attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of fintech solutions in post-trade processing
- Experience with AI Agents, automation/RPA initiatives in operations
