Job Description Summary

This role will report directly to the Executive GSC Strategy Leader across all Power products and will play a key part in enabling the Global Supply Chain Strategy organization to deliver its strategic priorities. The role will focus on driving horizontal effectiveness, operating rigor, Lean transformation, and AI-enabled productivity, while interfacing with key business and enterprise functions.
This leader will own critical strategic imperatives and special projects across a broad range of commodities, leveraging Lean, process improvement, analytics, and AI to simplify and improve how the organization operates. The role will establish operating mechanisms, metrics, dashboards, processes, and cross-functional workflows that provide clear visibility to SCSRB execution and enable consolidated measurement of business impact across cost, cash, contribution margin, CapEx, and other key business outcomes.
The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver who can operate with significant independence, navigate ambiguity, connect activities across multiple organizations, and translate complex information into clear insights and actions for senior leadership.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the GSC Strategy Executive to develop, operationalize, and execute key strategic priorities across the Global Supply Chain Strategy organization.
  • Drive productivity and operating effectiveness of the GSC Strategy team by leveraging Lean methodologies, process improvement, automation, analytics, and AI tools to simplify work and accelerate execution.
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and management systems that provide visibility to business impact, benefits realization, project progress, CapEx projections, risks, and business scenarios.
  • Establish standard work, visual management, operating rhythms, and streamlined workflows to improve organizational effectiveness, execution rigor, and transparency.
  • Identify execution barriers and facilitate cross-functional problem solving to establish common standards, improve processes, and accelerate resolution of complex issues.
  • Lead process improvements across interconnected organizations to improve data quality, data flow, transparency, and cross-functional information sharing, enabling a comprehensive view of business impact.
  • Drive the accurate measurement, consolidation, and reporting of benefits across commodities, including cost, cash, contribution margin, productivity, and CapEx associated with strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with business and enterprise functions to consolidate and articulate the supply chain impact of enterprise-level cost-out, productivity, and transformation initiatives.
  • Continuously learn, develop and leverage AI and digital tools to automate recurring analysis, improve data synthesis, simplify reporting, identify insights, and increase the productivity of the broader GSC Strategy organization.
  • Own and execute special projects and strategic imperatives in nuanced or emerging areas where dedicated organizational coverage may be limited, quickly developing the necessary subject-matter understanding to drive results.
  • Drive commonality, standardization, and repeatable measurement methodologies across commodities and initiatives while recognizing differences in business and operational requirements.
  • Develop concise, fact-based analyses, scenarios, and recommendations that enable senior leadership decision-making.
  • Manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously and operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly matrixed environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 6 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain, Operations, Lean, Manufacturing, Strategy, Program Management, or Operational Excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Lean and process-improvement methodologies to complex business or operational problems.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and initiatives through influence, including stakeholders outside the candidate's direct organization.
  • Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and create structure around complex or loosely defined problems.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of global supply chain and manufacturing operations, particularly within a complex industrial or engineered-product environment.
  • Demonstrated Lean expertise with experience in standard work, visual management, value-stream/process mapping, problem solving, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing and managing operational dashboards, KPIs, benefit-tracking mechanisms, and executive-level reporting.
  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of cost, cash, contribution margin, CapEx, productivity, and business-case development.
  • Ability to learn and leverage AI, automation, analytics, and digital tools to improve organizational productivity and decision-making.
  • Ability to identify connections across commodities, functions, and initiatives and translate them into horizontal opportunities and scalable solutions.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to bring diverse stakeholders together to resolve complex cross-functional issues.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and move comfortably between detailed analysis and broader business implications.
  • High level of curiosity, learning agility, and willingness to take ownership of unfamiliar or emerging areas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and influence across a global, matrixed organization.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $122,600.00 and $204,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
