Overview:
Supports executive enablement, workforce and business operations, governance, and operational execution for leaders across the organization. The role enables executives to effectively run the business by providing governance, reporting, workforce management, analytics, and operational coordination that translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes.
Provides business health support across multiple businesses or functional areas by maintaining visibility into priorities, performance, risks, capacity, and execution progress. Uses reporting, analytics, forecasting, and governance routines to keep leadership informed, enable decision-making, and support timely action on emerging issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support executives and senior leaders in running the business by coordinating governance routines, leadership reporting, workforce management, business operations, and operational execution activities that drive accountability and measurable outcomes.
Develop business health views, forecasts, and reporting cadence. Work with stakeholders to capture key priorities, operational needs, constraints, assumptions, and measures of success that support leadership visibility and decision-making.
Ensure business health support includes operating rhythms, performance reporting, workforce and capacity insights, risk visibility, communication plans, and resource considerations.
Communicate business health insights, reporting updates, and operational priorities to affected parties to support common understanding, set expectations, and align stakeholders.
Support execution of leadership priorities by coordinating business health routines, tracking progress against objectives, managing forecasts, and monitoring actions, risks, dependencies, and changes that impact outcomes.
Measure business unit health utilizing appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress; identify and quantify variances, complete any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
Implement approved actions and workarounds required to address operational risks, performance issues, or business health concerns.
Improve business operations effectiveness by building stakeholder alignment, promoting accountability, supporting leadership routines, and enabling timely resolution of issues.
Maintain familiarity with organizational priorities, operating model, business objectives, and stakeholder responsibilities to effectively coordinate business health activities and executive support routines.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:
Contributes to technical/professional direction for a discipline
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years’ proven project management experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 8 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ project management experience.
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $89,600.00 - $149,300.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
