Job Description

The Process Architect - Expert is responsible for designing, modeling, and optimizing business processes to improve operational efficiency, standardization, and automation readiness. The role focuses on analyzing current processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing optimized to-be process designs that support organizational performance and transformation initiatives.

Working closely with Process Owners, operational teams, and transformation stakeholders, the Process Architect - Expert ensures that processes are clearly documented, standardized, and aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards. This role also supports digital transformation initiatives by ensuring processes are structured and ready for automation, system enablement, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Process Design & Modeling

• Analyze and map as-is processes to understand current workflows, dependencies, and operational challenges.

• Develop to-be process designs that improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

• Create and maintain process documentation using standard process modeling methodologies (e.g., BPMN, process maps, value stream mapping).

• Ensure processes follow established enterprise process architecture standards.

Process Optimization

• Identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

• Recommend and implement process simplification, standardization, and optimization initiatives.

• Support operational teams in implementing process improvements and redesign initiatives.

Process Documentation & Repository Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation in the enterprise process repository.

• Ensure documentation includes process flows, roles, controls, and key process metrics.

• Support the adoption of standardized process documentation practices across the organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Process Owners and operational teams to validate process requirements and improvements.

• Collaborate with technology and transformation teams to align processes with digital solutions and system implementations.

• Facilitate process workshops, walkthroughs, and validation sessions with stakeholders.

Governance Support

• Support process governance and approval processes for new or redesigned workflows.

• Ensure compliance with organizational process standards and best practices.

• Assist in monitoring process performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
