How You’ll Contribute:
Kaufman Rossin is seeking a Private Equity Tax Manager to support complex tax compliance and planning for private equity funds, investment partnerships, and other alternative investment structures. This role will oversee partnership tax compliance, investor reporting, and technical tax matters for complex fund structures.
- Manage the preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local partnership tax returns
- Oversee Form 1065, Schedule K-1s, state filings, extensions, and estimated tax calculations
- Review of tax workpapers, book-to-tax reconciliations, capital accounts, tax basis schedules, and investor allocations
- Oversee compliance of complex fund structures, including tiered partnerships, blockers, management companies, and investment entities
- Research and resolve complex partnership tax issues
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality deliverables
Requirements
What Skills You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of relevant tax experience
- Master’s degree in Taxation or CPA licensure
- Strong experience with private equity funds, investment partnerships, real estate funds, or other alternative investment structures
- Strong knowledge of federal partnership taxation
- Experience reviewing partnership tax returns and related investor reporting
- Ability to independently research and resolve complex tax matters
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to exceptional client service
How You’ll Stand Out
- Experience working with private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real estate funds, or family offices
- Experience with tiered partnership structures and complex waterfall and allocation methodologies
- Experience with state and local taxation of investment partnerships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced client service environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients, team members, and firm leadership
