As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, operating, and continuously improving secure, resilient, and scalable technology platforms that support critical banking services.
This is an opportunity to work across a complex enterprise technology landscape, partnering with architects, engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable platform capabilities that improve service availability, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
You will contribute to platform strategy, automation, lifecycle management, operational excellence, and the adoption of modern engineering practices, ensuring platform services remain secure, performant, and aligned with business needs.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise technology platforms and services.
- Strong understanding of platform engineering, infrastructure, application hosting, or integration technologies.
- Knowledge of modern architectural patterns including APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Experience with distributed systems, platform architectures, and API gateway management such as Kong, API Connect, DataPower, Anypoint or equivalent.
- Experience working with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of security and identity controls, including authentication, authorisation, encryption, and certificate management.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational tooling such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across distributed environments.
- Experience delivering platform upgrades, migrations, and technology lifecycle initiatives with minimal customer or business impact.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and operational support practices.
- Experience driving automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A focus on reliability, service resilience, operational excellence, and delivering positive business outcomes.
