Job Role: Performance Marketer

Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $2,500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We seek a hands-on Performance Marketer role focused on generating high-quality leads for a busy local trade business. You'll own paid advertising campaigns end-to-end, working closely with the business owner and AI tools to turn ad spend into booked jobs. There's also room to support broader marketing, admin, and reporting tasks as the role develops.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan, build, and manage Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns to generate qualified leads
• Monitor campaign performance and optimise for cost per lead and conversion rate
• Manage and improve Google Business Profile and local SEO presence
• Track and report on key marketing metrics, providing clear monthly performance summaries
• Coordinate landing pages and website updates to support campaigns
• Support social media content planning and posting
• Add campaign creation with proficiency with AI tools (Claude GPT and other custom tools the business uses (Campaign Brain))
• Assist with general marketing administration and ad-hoc projects as they come up

Requirements

• Proven experience running Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns, ideally for a Australian local service or trade business (Electrical preferred) 
• Strong understanding of performance tracking, conversion metrics, and campaign optimisation
• Comfortable managing Google Business Profile and local SEO best practices
• Clear, confident English communication skills for reporting and collaboration
• A proactive, autonomous working style with strong attention to detail

Nice to have:

• Experience with general administrative or virtual assistant tasks (email and calendar management, document preparation)
• Exposure to bookkeeping or basic financial admin (invoicing, expense tracking, reconciliations)
• Familiarity with design or content tools (Canva, basic video editing) to support social content
• Experience working with Australian trade or home services businesses
