We are looking for a Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) to join our supportive team at our Wembley Oncology Clinic in a full time capacity.

In this patient facing role, you will play a key part in creating a positive experience for our patients and supporting the smooth day to day operation of the clinic. You will bring professionalism, compassion, and strong organisational skills to a fast paced and rewarding healthcare environment.

More specifically, you will:

• Manage day to day administrative and clerical activities to support clinic operations
• Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, updating, and confirming bookings
• Process billing, receipting, and related administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate patient information across clinical and administrative systems
• Prepare, scan, file, and manage documentation in accordance with privacy and compliance requirements
• Maintain organised and up to date patient records and administrative files
• Support effective clinic workflows through proactive and efficient administration
• Collaborate with internal teams regarding schedules, patient documentation, and operational processes
• Prioritise and manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a busy environment

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and customer service
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• The ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively within a collaborative team environment
• Experience with patient billing systems and an understanding of Medicare billing mechanisms, which will be highly regarded
• A professional and empathetic telephone manner, with confidence managing a high volume of patient enquiries
• Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare setting 
• Previous experience in medical administration, healthcare reception, or a similar patient services role preferred
