Job Description:

Pathology Documentation Specialist PRN

Location: Fully Remote

Schedule: Sunday 5:00pm - 7:30pm or until work is complete; otherwise, PRN as needed Monday - Friday, starting at 4:30pm until work is complete.

• Other duties as assigned. Reviews and quality checks transcribed reports for accuracy, completeness, and demographic issues.
• Compares blanks in reports with actual dictation and provides timely feedback based on industry standards.
• Reviews and completes reports, ensuring all specimen parts and corrections are included.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equivalent minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent [Required]
