Sobre esta vaga de Paediatric Speech Pathologist na Mediix
Speech Pathologist — Canberra Private Practice | Paediatric Caseload
Established clinic. Genuine mentoring. Room to grow into the parts of the work you love.
Canberra is one of the easier cities in Australia to build a satisfying speech pathology career in: short commutes, a well-resourced NDIS market, engaged families, and clinics with the runway to invest in their teams properly. This is a private practice role in a well-regarded ACT clinic with a caseload sitting mostly across paediatrics — school-age communication, early language, literacy, articulation, social communication, and AAC where relevant.
About the role:
- Predominantly paediatric caseload; a small adult mix is available if you want it
- Blend of clinic-based sessions, school visits and telehealth
- Realistic caseload set with your clinical lead — not by billable-hour KPI
- Full admin, scheduling and billing support so your day is clinical work, not paperwork
- Structured supervision (weekly for new grads, monthly-plus for experienced clinicians)
- Access to established assessment tools, therapy resources and a shared clinical library
What's on offer:
- Salary $80,000–$115,000 + super, benchmarked to experience
- Annual PD budget plus paid PD leave
- Laptop, phone, and reimbursed travel between sites
- Genuine flexibility — 4-day weeks, school-hours arrangements, and hybrid clinic/telehealth setups all on the table
- A clinical career pathway (senior and lead roles opening as the practice grows)
- Regular team case discussion, peer supervision and a real social calendar
About you:
- AHPRA registration as a Speech Pathologist (CPSP welcome; new graduates supported)
- Australian work rights
- Genuine interest in paediatric work and family-centred practice
- Comfortable across assessment and intervention; interest in a specialty area (feeding, AAC, literacy, autism support) is a plus but not required
About the practice: Boutique, allied-health-led, with a stable clinical team and a reputation for keeping their clinicians long-term. Modern rooms, sensory-friendly setup, and a leadership team that has built the practice the way clinicians actually want to work in one. Full details shared once we've had a first conversation.
