Vacancy for Order Handler

Join us as a Order Handler based in Pune To support Order Handling and Planning functions at IMF and ensure seamless working in unit to achieve unit DOT targets.

The position / About the Job:

In this job the Order Handler would be responsible for:

Key Tasks and responsibilities:

Order Handling

• Preparation of Product Structures for Non standard modules based on BOM released by E&S team.
• Co-ordinate with E&S or BU and our purchase team to get information on delivery of items for ongoing projects.
• Prepare project plan for ongoing projects.
• Take part in meetings, internal and external to discuss the project plan.
• Study RFQ for new projects and take part in discussions on lead time and likely cost.

Planning

• Study month plan and prepare shortages for each unit.
• Discuss with BU and purchase team on critical shortages and follow up for the same.
• Prepare packing lists for units in testing/ ready for dispatch after studying PO, drawings and Product Structure.
• Co-ordinate with Stores for release of spares/ loose supply material as per packing lists.
• Check paint, tag, name plate requirements for special units and initiate ordering of same.
• Distribute correct drawings and items for shop manufacturing.
• Identify extra material and initiate scrapping actions.

GENERAL

• Take active part in ALPS acitivities and ISO requirements
•  Inventory reduction and optimization
• Identify issues on shop and initiate C2/ Near misses accordingly.

As a person who deliver a cross functional service to the customer in order to meet the customer demands and secure a timely and accurate communication to the customer as well as within own organization.

What you can be?

Knowledge and skills:

• Engineer with experience of  3-4 years in module order handling and shop planning activities.

• Ability to read drawings and understand PID, GA.
• Working knowledge of module components like valves, instruments etc.
• Knowledge of Material Standards will be an additional advantage
• Knowledge of manfacturing processes, ISO/HSE Knowledge & IT Tools.

• High integrity with a learning misdset and a positive approach
• Self driven and an initiator
