About the Role 

The Operational Risk Senior Officer supports the development, implementation, and management of operational risk policies and frameworks. Monitors operational risks and KRIs, analyzes incidents, and monitors mitigation strategies. Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, enhance risk controls, and contribute to business continuity planning and reporting.    

What You’ll Do 

• Assist in the development and implementation of the Bank’s Operational Risk Management Framework.
• Active participation in the design, implementation and monitoring of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Methodology.
• Monitor and assess IT and cyber-related operational risks in alignment with EBA Guidelines on ICT and Security Risk Management and the Digital Operational Resilience Act.
• Contribute to the preparation of operational risk regulatory reporting, including COREP OpRisk templates and periodic supervisory submissions to the Bank of Greece.
• Monitoring of Key Risk Indicators in close cooperation with business units.
• Tracking/Reporting of the Internal Incidents, implementation of “Root Cause Analysis” and monitoring of corrective actions.
• Parametrization and Management of snappi’s GRC Tool.
• Monitoring and safeguarding of Risk Appetite Framework in close collaboration with other stakeholders.
• Active participation in preparation of New Credit Products / Services / Policies.
• Participation in third party outsourcing assessment by reviewing risk related information during procurement process and prior to any finalized contractual agreement.
• Participation in on-site Inspections performed by the regulator.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in IT, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or any related Technology field will be considered as a plus.
• Relevant Certifications such as Operational Risk Management Certificate (ORM), is considered as a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operational risk management.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, processes standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages will be considered as a plus.
