As a Procurement Director, you will provide strategic legal guidance and support across various industries, focusing on corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance. Within our Internal Firm Services practice, you will leverage your skills in corporate law to navigate complex legal frameworks and minimize risks for internal stakeholders and clients.

As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and inspire others to follow, driving business growth and shaping the direction of client engagements. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will develop new ideas and solutions, drive thought leadership, and promote technological advances, creating an environment where people and technology thrive together. You will identify market gaps and convert opportunities into success for the firm, adhering to professional and technical standards and the firm's code of conduct.

Responsibilities

- Providing strategic legal guidance and support on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance

- Interacting with internal business clients, procurement professionals, sourcing teams, finance, risk and compliance functions, firm leadership, external vendors, and internal lawyers;

- Having a strong understanding of commercial contracting principles and the procurement lifecycle, from initial sourcing and contract negotiation through post-signature contract administration;

- Demonstrating experience negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including professional services agreements, meetings and events agreements, consulting agreements, contingent labor agreements, marketing and sponsorship agreements, statements of work, and other procurement-related contracts;

- Providing practical legal, commercial, and risk-based guidance to business stakeholders while balancing legal protections with business objectives;
- Leading the development and implementation of innovative legal strategies and solutions

- Identifying and analyzing complex legal and business issues, synthesizing details for non-lawyer audiences, and providing timely, practical legal advice
- Overseeing contract negotiation processes to align with organizational objectives
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive business growth and client satisfaction

- Liaising with multiple stakeholders and driving consensus across business, procurement, and legal teams;

What You Must Have

- At least a LLB or LLM
- At least 16 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
