Position Summary
The Material Handler I - Receiving is responsible for receiving, organizing, stocking, and moving materials used in the manufacturing of architectural storefront systems, aluminum framing, and entrance doors. This position supports inventory accuracy, material flow, and production operations in a safe and efficient manner.
Currently working 5am-1pm, Monday - Friday. A typical shift is 8 hours, however, overtime or a Saturday shift may be assigned as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, stock, and organize incoming materials.
- Manually move, stack, and store aluminum extrusions and stock lengths up to 24 feet long.
- Read and process work orders according to production schedules and due dates.
- Maintain accurate receiving and inventory records.
- Assist with inventory organization and material replenishment.
- May be trained to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to safely handle long materials and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled facility and occasionally outdoors.
- Ability to read work orders, labels, and inventory documentation.
