Position Description

This is a Cloud Engineering role who is responsible for designing and managing cloud-based development projects, ensuring effective deployment of cloud applications.  The candidate should have great technical skills and communication skills to collaborate between stakeholders and technical teams in delivering scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions. This role oversees cloud development and operations, multi cloud strategies to ensure cloud initiatives and cloud operations align with CSI organizational goals.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, application teams, platform team, network team, stakeholders and vendors.

• Assess new initiatives of all cloud-based development projects. 

• Review configurations of AWS building blocks including EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, WAF, Cloudfront, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.

• Review configurations of Azure Networking, Microsoft Entra ID infrastructure, landing zone and other configurations

• Design and deploy Alibaba Cloud infrastructure and cloud components with security in design

• Schedule, track, and monitor cloud application development projects to ensure timely delivery

• Liaise with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Alibaba) to resolve issues and implement new services

• Prepare Cloud governance reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for Cloud stakeholders

• Facilitate security assessment review of existing and new cloud applications.  Collaborate with application teams to ensure cloud security is embedded.

• Design and deploy multi-cloud management strategy at CSI

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, engineering or related domain discipline

• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in Cloud domains

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) is an advantage.

• Knowledge in cloud architecture, APIs, and security principles.

• Aliyu certifications such as Alibaba Cloud Professional (ACP) / Alibaba Cloud Expert (ACE) preferred.

• Strong interpersonal / organizational / problem-solving / project management / client serving / multi-tasking skills

• Able to work independently / attention to details / result-driven/ self-motivated / self-starter / proactive mindset / enthusiastic/ a team player

• Excellent command of / fluent in both spoken and written (English and Chinese (Highly desirable - Putonghua))
