Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience.

We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.

ROLE FOCUS  Lead the team responsible for supplier dimensional data submissions, data quality, reporting discipline, and dimensional readiness for the Midsize program.

The Manager, Dimensional Industrialization is responsible for leading a team of Dimensional Industrialization Engineers supporting supplier dimensional readiness for the Midsize program and future vehicle programs. The team is primarily responsible for defining dimensional data requirements, coordinating supplier data submissions, verifying the completeness and quality of uploaded data, monitoring dimensional performance, and escalating risks that may affect vehicle build quality or program timing.

This role establishes the operating discipline, standards, tools, and reporting needed to ensure suppliers provide accurate dimensional data at the required program milestones. The Manager works closely with Engineering, Supplier Industrialization, Manufacturing, Program Management, Plant Supplier Quality, and suppliers to align measurement requirements, review dimensional results, and drive timely resolution of gaps.

The successful candidate will build and develop a high-performing technical team, maintain clear ownership and accountability across suppliers, and use dimensional data to provide leadership with an objective view of readiness, compliance, and risk.

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of Dimensional Industrialization Engineers.
  • Assign program and supplier responsibilities, balance workload, and establish clear expectations for execution and follow-up.
  • Provide technical coaching in dimensional data review, measurement planning, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, statistical analysis, and structured problem solving.
  • Establish team goals and performance measures that reinforce accountability, consistent execution, and continuous improvement.

Dimensional Data Governance

  • Own the process for supplier dimensional data submissions supporting the Midsize and future programs.
  • Define submission requirements, timing, file structure, data quality expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Ensure suppliers upload dimensional data at the required frequency and program milestones.
  • Monitor supplier submission status, identify late or incomplete uploads, and drive recovery plans with the responsible teams.
  • Ensure dimensional data is traceable, consistently formatted, and available for cross-functional review and decision making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards that communicate supplier compliance, dimensional performance, open risks, and overdue actions.

Measurement Requirements and Data Quality

  • Partner with Engineering to define measurement points, critical and special characteristics, reporting expectations, and acceptance criteria after sourcing.
  • Ensure suppliers develop measurement plans and inspection methods that align with engineering requirements and manufacturing risk.
  • Review uploaded dimensional results for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and evidence of process stability.
  • Confirm that measurement methods, fixtures, gauges, and coordinate measurement programs are appropriate for the characteristics being evaluated.
  • Drive closure of data gaps, measurement discrepancies, and concerns with supplier measurement systems.

Program Readiness and Risk Management

  • Integrate dimensional data deliverables into Midsize program milestones, build events, and launch readiness reviews.
  • Use supplier data to identify dimensional variation, capability concerns, and emerging risks before they affect vehicle builds.
  • Lead regular dimensional status reviews with Engineering, Supplier Industrialization, Manufacturing, Plant Supplier Quality, Program Management, and suppliers.
  • Escalate missed submissions, unacceptable results, and unresolved dimensional risks with clear owners, timing, and recovery actions.
  • Provide concise leadership reporting on dimensional readiness, supplier compliance, and the highest program risks.

Supplier Support and Issue Resolution

  • Direct suppliers in the development and execution of dimensional recovery plans.
  • Support root cause analysis for fit, form, function, and assembly concerns linked to component or tooling variation.
  • Ensure corrective actions address the manufacturing process and prevent recurrence, rather than only sorting or adjusting data.
  • Coordinate cross-functional decisions when dimensional results do not meet requirements or when temporary deviations are proposed.
  • Drive lessons learned and standardization across suppliers and future programs.

Process and System Improvement

  • Standardize dimensional data submission, review, approval, and escalation processes across the team.
  • Improve tools and reporting methods to reduce manual tracking and increase visibility of dimensional status.
  • Develop practical work instructions, templates, and review standards for engineers and suppliers.
  • Identify opportunities for predictive analysis and earlier risk detection using dimensional trends.
  • Maintain alignment between dimensional deliverables, supplier industrialization requirements, and program timing.

General Leadership

  • Represent Dimensional Industrialization in program and leadership reviews.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal teams and supplier leadership.
  • Support resource planning, budget development, travel planning, and team capability development.
  • Travel to supplier and company locations as needed to support reviews, issue resolution, and launch execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in automotive dimensional engineering, supplier industrialization, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, metrology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading engineers or other technical professionals.
  • Experience managing dimensional deliverables across multiple suppliers and program milestones.
  • Strong/expert knowledge of dimensional data analysis, measurement systems, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, statistical process control, process capability, and measurement system analysis.
  • Experience reviewing dimensional layouts, measurement plans, inspection reports, capability results, and supplier corrective actions.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, product requirements, and measurement specifications.
  • Experience developing dashboards, trackers, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of supplier deliverables, follow-up actions, and escalations.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to work across global time zones and travel domestically and internationally based on program needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting new vehicle development, prototype builds, pilot builds, or production launches.
  • Experience with body structures, closures, exterior systems, interiors, battery structures, castings, stampings, or tooling.
  • Working knowledge of automotive product quality planning and production part approval requirements.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, visualization, and dimensional data management systems.
  • Previous experience supporting a global supplier base or electric vehicle program.
