What You Will Do
As the Manager, Data Governance, you will lead the development of Chomps’ enterprise data governance and master data management capabilities. You will establish the policies, ownership, stewardship, and quality practices that make critical data trusted and usable, while leading the selection and phased implementation of a new MDM platform. This hands-on manager role will work cross-functionally and may manage people, processes, and third-party resources.
In this role, you will build and execute an enterprise data governance roadmap aligned with Chomps' business priorities, growth strategy, and evolving data needs. You'll establish clear ownership, stewardship, decision rights, policies, standards, and escalation paths across priority data domains to support trusted, high-quality data throughout the organization.
A key focus of the role will be leading the evaluation, selection, design, and phased implementation of a new Master Data Management (MDM) platform and the business processes that support it. This includes defining master data models, hierarchies, match and merge logic, survivorship rules, golden records, approval workflows, and lifecycle controls that enable consistent and reliable data management at scale.
Working across functions, you'll enhance the quality, governance, and usability of customer, customer hierarchy, item, product, SKU, and other critical master and reference data. You'll also expand the use of Microsoft Purview to strengthen data cataloging, business glossary management, ownership, classification, lineage, and trusted data discovery across the enterprise.
To drive measurable outcomes, you'll establish data quality standards, scorecards, issue management processes, and governance routines that improve accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness. You'll lead governance forums, steward enablement, communications, training, and change adoption efforts, helping embed strong data management practices into everyday operations.
