Your team

You will closely work with an experienced, international and cross functional team of engineers, in a great place to work environment. You will be part of the i.MX Team, developing and integrating software for a wide array of i.MX microprocessors, striving for safe and secure products for our customers. We are driven by NXP’s core values: raising the bar, engaging curiosity, taking initiative, working together, and developing deep core competence.

Your responsibilities

• Integrate new i.MX devices in Linux BSP, ensuring high quality release deliverables.
• Maintain existing i.MX products within NXP’s Linux software evolution strategy.
• Develop, design and maintain Linux kernel drivers on i.MX platforms.
• Contribute upstream to the broader Linux community (Linux kernel).

Your Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar disciplines.
• Knowledge with software development on embedded systems.
• Understanding of embedded firmware development.
• Understanding of Linux kernel development.

 Would be a plus:

• General CPU/Computer architecture know-how.
• Linux internals like memory, scheduling, and device drivers.
• Open source communities and contributions to the Linux kernel.
