Overview of the role
A Learning & Development Intern supports the L&D team by gaining hands-on exposure to onboarding, training delivery, and learning systems while assisting with administrative, reporting, and coordination tasks. This role is designed to build practical L&D capability in students through real office work and structured on-the-job training, while providing light-touch support that helps the team keep pace with onboarding, reporting, and engagement deliverables.
Main duties include:
- L&D Administrative Support: Support onboarding for new team members, including pre- and post-training deliverables, office tours, and account activation processes.
- Learning & Systems Support: Assist in generating reports using Excel and support the design and preparation of PowerPoint slides, including for the Quarterly Governance Report.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Help collect, clean, and analyse training data in coordination with the team lead.
- Learning & Culture: Assist with employee engagement initiatives (social media and internal MS Teams announcements) and support the planning and coordination of engagement events.
- Training Delivery Exposure: Observe live training sessions across FPA, PP, AcA, BKA, and MBA streams, assist with administrative tasks such as recording scores and supporting exam proctoring, and shadow the trainee assessment process.
- Documentation & Tracking: Help prepare training materials, attendance trackers, and session documentation, and assist in monitoring trainee progress and completion records.
- Third-Party & Human Skills Training Exposure: Shadow projects involving third-party training providers and observe Human Skills (soft skills) training sessions.
- Reporting & Feedback Support: Assist in tracking attendance, collecting post-training feedback, and helping compile training evaluation reports and insights for the L&D team.
- Ad hoc support: Undertake additional tasks as required to support evolving team priorities and business needs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program requiring OJT/practicum hours — e.g. Psychology, Human Resource Development Management, Business Administration, Office Administration, Education, or a related field
- Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing several small tasks at once
- Curious and comfortable working with data, even without prior reporting experience
- Ability to coordinate with trainers, team leads, and internal stakeholders
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling trainee and business data
- Reliable and punctual, able to commit to the agreed schedule for the full duration of the placement
- Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and take on ad hoc tasks as required
