We are looking for an experienced Lead Esri/GIS Developer to lead the design, development, integration, and technical delivery of enterprise GIS solutions. The role requires deep expertise in the Esri ArcGIS platform, GIS architecture, application development, spatial data, enterprise integrations, and modern cloud-based GIS capabilities.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on development expertise with technical leadership, helping design scalable GIS platforms and applications that support business operations, analytics, mapping, and location intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of enterprise Esri/GIS solutions.
- Design and maintain GIS architectures using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
- Develop scalable web GIS applications using ArcGIS JavaScript API / ArcGIS Maps SDK.
- Design and implement integrations using the ArcGIS REST API, web services, and enterprise APIs.
- Develop reusable GIS components, services, tools, and application frameworks.
- Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise applications, databases, cloud services, and business systems.
- Design spatial data models, geodatabases, feature services, map services, and related GIS data structures.
- Integrate GIS capabilities with Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse to support business workflows and applications.
- Work with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse to enable location-based business processes where required.
- Define GIS architecture and integration patterns that support scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, design sessions, and solution evaluations.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical GIS solutions and implementation plans.
- Develop and consume REST-based APIs and integrate GIS services with third-party and enterprise systems.
- Ensure GIS applications are responsive, reliable, secure, and optimised for performance.
- Troubleshoot complex GIS application, integration, service, and data issues.
- Establish coding standards, development practices, documentation, and technical governance for GIS solutions.
- Mentor GIS developers and provide technical guidance on architecture, development, APIs, and Esri technologies.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product teams, data engineers, enterprise architects, and other technology stakeholders.
- Evaluate new Esri capabilities, GIS technologies, cloud services, and integration approaches.
- Support deployment, testing, production releases, upgrades, and ongoing enhancement of GIS platforms and applications.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 13+ years of experience in GIS development, Esri technologies, software engineering, or enterprise GIS architecture.
- Strong hands-on expertise with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
- Extensive experience developing enterprise GIS applications using ArcGIS JavaScript API / ArcGIS Maps SDK.
- Strong knowledge of the ArcGIS REST API, feature services, map services, web maps, and GIS service integration.
- Proven experience in GIS architecture, solution design, and enterprise system integration.
- Strong understanding of spatial databases, geodatabases, spatial data modelling, and GIS data management.
- Hands-on experience integrating GIS solutions with Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse.
- Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, authentication, data exchange, and integration patterns.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise GIS platforms.
- Strong programming and web development skills relevant to GIS application development.
- Experience leading technical teams, mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and establishing development standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex GIS concepts to technical and business audiences.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
