This position is a key contributor for supporting the Deliver function in warehousing, distribution, freight, customs and logistics operations, for J&J International Singapore across the J&J MedTech Surgery and EP+NV franchises. The role is responsible for ensuring superior customer experience through operations execution, adherence to compliance requirements, driving operational efficiency through a third-party logistics warehousing and distribution model and managing the overall distribution cost performance.
He/She will support the implementation of the Singapore Deliver strategy, drive continuous improvement and cost improvement initiatives, and ensure that warehousing and distribution activities are delivered reliably, compliantly and effectively. The role will interface with internal stakeholders, 3PL, freight forwarders, customs brokers, Finance, Procurement, Quality and regional Deliver teams to enable reliable, compliant and cost-effective operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Distribution
Oversee activities related to physical movement of product across freight, customs, warehousing, order processing, transportation and local distribution operations.
Oversee 3PL management of operational activities under the warehousing and distribution scope of services, ensuring compliance to SOPs and contractual KPI agreements, including but not limited to, OTIF-D, OTS, DSI, DTS, Perfect Order, OS&D, customer complaints and distribution costs.
Accountable for value added services performed by the 3rd logistics provider like repackaging, promotional banding, relabeling, kitting etc.
Develop, implement and administer systems, procedures, and processes, and provide effective warehousing & distribution services to meet customer service levels.
Accountable for management of overall distribution costs, cost improvement program (CIP) targets, logistics service spend and cost governance.
Manage freight spend, audits freight bills for overcharge / discrepancies.
Manage customs-related matters as Account/Billing Administrator for JOHNSON & JOHNSON INTERNATIONAL (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD , including coordination with relevant parties for customs account administration.
Create and manage COGS and SG&A Purchase Orders to facilitate J&J payment to vendors for logistics services rendered.
Approve freight invoice posting from freight forwarders for inbound freight shipments through Ariba, ensuring billing accuracy and timely payment processing.
Participate in contract tenders and negotiations for warehousing and distribution scope with 3PLs and logistics service providers.
Benchmark industry practices and implement improvements as appropriate.
Quality & Compliance Activities
Ensure all distribution activities comply with FCPA, HCBI, SOX guidelines, J&J Quality standards and local regulations such as customs and other trade compliance related matters.
Responsible for annual one-time inventory wall-to-wall counts to fulfil SOX compliance requirements, including coordination with 3PL, Finance, Quality and internal stakeholders.
Maintain VERASEAL-related Deliver processes and SOPs, including periodic review, SOP drafting, updates and coordination of process documentation where applicable.
Provide authority of approvals for inventory adjustments required from inventory reconciliation efforts arising through daily operations, in accordance with applicable controls and approval limits.
Work on creation, change management and timely closure of all quality related actions e.g. SOP, WI, NCR, Change control.
Customer Service Collaboration
Work with the Customer Solutions team, or Order-to-Cash team, to ensure superior customer experience by ensuring perfect order delivery.
Internal stakeholder management and resource management in providing timely responses to customer inquiries which are deliver-related (delivery service, inventory, order fulfilment, etc), logging and resolving customer issues (e.g. ensuring complaint logging, investigation and closure).
Partner with Customer Solutions team to drive improvement action plans from annual customer survey results to drive customer experience.
Authorities:
Approval for warehouse, distribution and logistics service spend within assigned authority limits.
Approval for freight invoice postings from freight forwarders, including inbound freight shipments through Ariba.
Creation and management of COGS and SG&A Purchase Orders in Ariba for logistics services rendered (warehousing, transportation, freight).
Approver for invoices in Ariba for LDC
Approver for SAP roles application for LDC
Approval authority for inventory adjustments arising from reconciliation activities and daily operational requirements.
Approver for warehousing and transport-related CAPAs for LDC
Qualification:
Minimum of University/Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in logistics or supply chain)
Minimum of 7 years of supply chain experience required, ideally in a distribution or customer service role. Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Ability to work locally, across businesses, sectors, and functions.
Excellent understanding of the order processing & customer service processes, as well as end to end supply chain processes and Supply Chain KPIs
Experienced with ERP/SAP and Customer collaboration system
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical ability

External interactions may include customers, industry partners, third-party distribution centres and suppliers, transportation providers, and customer service center vendors
Work Experience:
8+ years of supply chain experience or multiple functions exposure.
Experience working in a highly matrixed, global organization is critical for success.
