As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will join our R&D team to support our mechanical design efforts. You will play a crucial role in transforming scientific concepts into manufacturable reality, working closely with senior mechanical engineers to bring our hardware to life.

What you'll be doing

• CAD & Design Support: Create 3D CAD and 2D drawings from designs provided by senior mechanical engineers.

• Product Development: Take component design concepts from scientists, flesh them out with 3D models, verify manufacturability, and manage the procurement process.

• Prototyping: Provide hands-on support for prototyping. We love tinkerers! you'll have the opportunity to engage with 3D printing and small scale CNC machining.

• Collaborative R&D: Work within our small mechanical engineering group, receiving mentorship while taking ownership of your own tasks and projects across the company.

Your Profile

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience: Previous internship experience in a mechanical engineering role.

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of fundamental Mechanical Engineering concepts. Proficiency in CAD (Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, OnShape, etc.). We value candidates who have experience with multiple CAD tools.

• Mindset: You are a tinkerer at heart with mechanical interests outside of school. A passion for hands-on fabrication, 3D printing, or hobby machining is highly beneficial. Be prepared to present a project you are proud of.

• Collaboration: A proactive team player excited to learn from senior mentors while contributing directly to R&D outcomes.
